September 14, 200916 yr I know a lot of you here are teenagers, but I know a lot of you also have to deal with them, too. So how do you cope with a difficult teenager? I have a teenage sister and brother and they're sooooo annoying. They think they flipping rule the world, and skip school like school is something that just happens twice a week. And my mum seems to just let them off, allowing them to just do whatever the heck they want when it's obviously turning them into spoiled brats... If I were them, I don't think my mum would've allowed me to do such things... And I'm so tired of being worried about them. :(
September 14, 200916 yr Teenagers these days are kind of lost. You have the good bunch and then the bad bunch. The bad bunch are the ones that get into sex and drugs. These are the ones that turn out to be pimps and hoes. But, the good bunch get into academics and making wise decisions. These few will be the ones to go to a prestigious university/college and actually have a real job. I've kind of noticed that the good teenagers listen to more mellower music. Music that actually has a moral or a meaning. But the bad ones listen to rap and more of the mainstream music.
September 14, 200916 yr I dunno. I'm a teenager, and I know alot of bad teenagers, but none of them seem to skip school or get into really hard drugs. They'll sit around and have a beer and maybe a cig, but nothing hardcore, really. If one of them were to skip school, they'd get their asses kicked by their parents. I'd just remind your brother and sister that they don't own the world, and they really need to get their head back in the game. Either that or if they don't take life seriously then they're going to be fucked in the end :(
September 14, 200916 yr I'm a teenager, I dont know any people who skip school or do drugs. but I saw someone with dip in their pocket the other day.
September 14, 200916 yr Im a teen and I don't skip school, do drugs, date haha, seriously. People tend to say negitive things about teens which drives us mad! Thats probably why most teens do act that way. Just don't stereotype, not all of "us" are the same :nice: As you can tell I am a good teen, I listen to Coldplay :D
September 14, 200916 yr Nick, you don't have a teenage son... :dozey: Or at least I hope you don't... Oiiii.... ^:laugh1:

September 15, 200916 yr You just get them PWNED by telling them you're older, wiser and cooler, and they're a bunch of retards.
September 15, 200916 yr At OP: There's no rule of thumb for dealing with teenagers. We are real people too believe it or not, and we are not all the same. You might be shocked to learn this but it's true I swear.

September 15, 200916 yr Author At OP: There's no rule of thumb for dealing with teenagers. We are real people too believe it or not, and we are not all the same. You might be shocked to learn this but it's true I swear. Of course I know teenagers are real people... I'm not saying all of them are the same. I was talking about how to deal with difficult ones... It's just so tough sometimes, and yesterday I just kinda felt like I should give up and leave them alone. I talked to my mum about it though, and she gets my frustration, so I feel much better now. No, Josh42, my parents don't suck at parenting. My mum's just a lot busier now because my dad had a stroke, so because she spends a lot of her energy on taking care of him, she becomes a lot more lenient with my two younger siblings.
September 15, 200916 yr You should take the initiative and help your mom out. I feel bad about your dad though, sorry to hear that.
