Dit maal gaat het niet om plagiaat op een nummer, maar op een videoclip. Andy is van mening dat zijn clip uit 2008 van ‘Something Else’ teveel lijkt op de nieuwe video van Coldplay’s ‘Strawberry Swing’. Gallagher vindt het onterecht als ‘Strawberry Swing’ verscheidene awards zou winnen, terwijl hij hetzelfde idee al een jaar eerder had. just found this on the internet, it was a dutch article, but it says: coldplay has a new copyright case. after joe santriani and cat stevens, also andy J gallagher (by the way, not family of) complained about coldplay. this time its not plagiarism, but about a video clip. andy thinks that his clip of 2008 'something esle' looks very simmilar to coldplays newest single video 'strawberry swing'. Gallagher thinks its not fair that strawberry swing should win several awards, because he had the idea a year ago. :dozey: well, i tried to find the vid.. but can't find it on youtube, anyone?

Firstly: the idea of chalk and stop motion animation wasn't created by this guy... it's been around for quite a while and hasn't been copyrighted or anything... :dozey: Secondly: if ANYTHING, Shynola should be the ones being attacked by this. They directed the video, came up with the idea, etc... it was just used to promote Coldplay's song. :rolleyes: Overall: STUPID.
September 21, 200916 yr coldplay cant do anything good without someone saying the copied them.... I'd rather say they can't do anything at all without someone saying they copied him ... I guess they could make a song about bananas and someone would still say they copied it ... :confused:
September 21, 200916 yr *rolling eyes* seriously is it just me or does everyone just want to ride on coldplay's fame by claiming they stole their song or now music video idea. I watched the other video it's not all that similar. Also coldplay's song/and video is overall just very much better. People need to give Coldplay a break from all these claims! it's utterly ridiculous!
September 21, 200916 yr 4 years ago, i sang a song I created in my shower, and it became Viva la Vida !!! I'm sure Chris Martin put a microphone in my bathroom... Come on, will they ever stop these ridiculous claim over actions ? Success creates jealousy, it's disgusting !
