Haha gotta go to the real thing! Plus they built a new stadium for us in Melbourne so I feel obliged to go. Plus, our strip looks amazing. And I need another hobby thats not music-related.

You mean that thing they were building for about two years that looks like a giant white croissant?

^^ It kinda looks like a cloud with a patch of grass in the middle :P

Anyways I'll be making sure I listen out for the tour announcement tomorrow!

I just think it looks like a circular croissant on a grass plate. Passing the thing on the train last year, that's what it most looked like anyway.

IT LOOKS LIKE A FREAKING STADIUM

Yes, looking forward to this announcement. Apparently it's all typed up and ready to go on fasterlouder, but they can't put it up until 9am tomorrow

while we wait for the tour announcement. shall we go off topic for a bit.

it is surprisingly small. it hardly holds 30 000 and thats your biggest football stadium. docklands and mcg are not legit football grounds as they are not rectangular or even close to that. i know they often modify docklands to make it look more like a football ground but it still looks odd. the point of this rant: if aus win the rights to host the world cup sydney should host the final as we have the biggest football stadium, our olympic stadium holds 85 000.

damn australia

anyway

I'm excited about this announcement. If it's someone awesome I'll be crying about them not coming here...or jumping for joy about them coming here?

See, it's even a mediocre stadium/giant croissant. How horrid.

Yes, its small. But Sydney FC get pathetic crowds so it'll be nice to have a full stadium.

Sydney can have the final, seriously, MCG is shocking for watching football having seen the greece game a few years back. Plus the ticket prices would be astronomical so I wouldnt be going to the final anyway!

yeah us sydneysiders cbf going to watch sydney fc. much better things to do on a nice summers day. and im disgusted at the ticket prices for the everton tour. decent seats are $140 crappy seats are $100 and if u wanna sit up somewhere in the clouds its $70. i dont think i'll be going, its just a friendly so guaranteed shit game.

Fine, a stadium in a cloud that's somehow rooted to the ground :p

Triple J just announced 2 extra FLorence & The Machine shows, one of them of which is at the horden. Surely that's not the announcement...

As for Midnight Juggernauts, only listened to half. Bought it on Fri.

I bet you it is the announcement. Her shows sold out in like 30 minutes.

It was the announcement. Pretty poor. Now she has a whopping FOUR shows in Sydney. Ridiculous.

But, Woo! Saved money.

I had no idea florence was so huge. I think she was playing the metro (1500 seats) in January now just a few months later she's doing 3 at the enmore (2500 seats) and a night at the hordern (5000 seats) if she keeps this up she'll be doing arenas in a year or two. Hope she keeps it up and everyone forgets about pink.

You guys only got a Florence announcement this morning?

Her show in Auckland got announced a fair few weeks a go. What's up with that?

Nah she sold out 3 shows in Sydney last week. I'm guessing there was great demand so they added more shows.

Im really digging this months jmag: LCD Soundsystem, tame impala, midnight juggernauts.

^^

had the exact same reaction. every article in it is interesting. best jmag in quite a few months. it really is good value for money if you're a subscriber. i paid 64 bucks for 11 issues which is less than 6 bucks an issue, well worth it imo. going by how many they just giveaway each month on triple j i really dont think they sell all that well. i honestly dont think i have ever seen someone else reading a copy of it.

^Neither. Because I live in a country town, its really hard to find as well, so i was like, ill just subscribe. The only other decent music magazine thats available is rollingstone, though I dont like that as much.

In chart watch:

Cloud Control debuted at #20 last week.

Pendulum's new album entered at #3 in OZ, #1 in UK!!!! this week

Tame Impala debuted at #4. Solid effort.

Let's see how the Juggers go this week.

Guns n Roses are coming to Sydney. They will headline the music component of the V8 supercars final at Sydney Olympic Park. The concert will most probably take place at the Olympic Stadium.

^^I somehow doubt you're actually laughing..? :P

Wow, that's pretty cool... are you going to go?

depends on how expensive tickets are going to be. the event will be coupled in with the race, so ill be paying to see the race and the show so i would be surprised if tickets are less than $150. on top of that axl is 20years past his prime and if you've seen any footage of him from the last few years it is comical at best.
