Baby survives after being run over by train

Featured Replies

A baby has survived after his pushchair rolled onto the tracks as a train pulled into a station in Melbourne, Australia.

The train had slowed right down as it pulled into the station and the six-month-old baby suffered only a bump to his head.

CCTV of the incident was released to local media. It shows the pram rolling off the platform while the baby's mother looks on in horror.

Victoria state Police Sergeant Michael Ferwerda called the incident a "lucky escape" and said people should be cautious in train stations.

The CCTV footage is on the news article

So glad that the baby got away with it with only a bump to his head. What a terrible shock to his mother - feeling of guilt, shock, terror and now immense relief.

It also was on Danish television.

i saw the vid that was probably one of the scariest things ive ever seen, my stomach lept up to my heart. whatever brand stroller the baby was in is made of steel, thank god the baby was ok

I'm not bringing babies near train stations any time soon.

Thank God the baby didn't die. :)

yeah.. saw it this morning on the news... I can't believe the little baby was ok!!! its almost as if the train just pushed the carriage along or that the carriage sheltered the boy... amazing.

I heard that he's been trailed by the train on 40meters :stunned:
