Dido is just a manufactured Pop act. She is like the "boy-bands"/"girl-bands" of the 1990's. But we shall see if the British record buying public remember her when she re-surfaces with a whole new sound.

One thing Dido most definitely isn't is "manufactured". She has a very original style, writes most of her songs, is multi-talented and classically trained, and above all, is very down-to-earth and un-showbizzy. When was the last time you saw her flaunting herself in a paper or magazine?

I can appreciate there will be those who don't like her voice or style, but I find her voice extremely haunting and emotive. The only time I didn't think it worked was on Band Aid 20 - but then again, that whole song sucked!!;)

 

I also love the way she doesn't "glam up" on stage. She just wears jeans and a top, because she lets the music do the talking.

I still find her attractive, though, and I also love her personality.
