Pneumonia Sucks.

Featured Replies

Anyone else ever had it? What was it like? How long did it take for you to get over it?

My side hurts and the bottom of my lung feels like it's suffocating. :( It's not happy.

Ugh, I've never had it. :(

I hope you get better soon.

I almost died because of that when I was born.

But never again.

This might sound stupid.. but you should relax.

If you get desperate, you'll hyperventilate, throat will be closed, and probably pass out.

Damn I suck.

Hope you feel better soon. :nice:

Have you gone to the doctor yet? Assuming you have..

^Yeah, I found out I had it yesterday.

^^I'm annoyed more than anything not desperate. It's very uncomfortable, I have a lot to do before Christmas, and I've spent the last several days mainly in bed.

yes it sucks. I've had to be hospitalized for a day and I spent like a week or 2 in bed also. But it's annoying because I feel like I get sick a lot more easily now... heh! Hope you get better Mo!

Are you having any treatment?

That's the bad thing about Christmas, big chance of being sick :/

oh yeah... full scale anibiotics. Again. Because a sinus infection a few weeks ago wasn't enough. :dozey:

HA! lol. That's frustrating.

I experienced that same thing a few months ago.

Had a cold. Then some asthma complication. :uhoh:

Well, hopefully you'll get out of it soon.

I had it last year after Thanksgiving for about a week. After about two days of it, I finally went to the doctor and had to get a shot in both of my hips and one in my arm. Not fun at all. My suggestion: Just take it easy. You have to be really careful with this. Just relax. You should get over it in about 2 to 3 days.

^^the meds should start noticeably working before Christmas... They'd better. *grumbles*

^Heh... I am the queen of taking it easy. No problems there. My idea of a perfect day is one when I can happily lay around listening to music all day. Great for the mind, terrible for the waistline.

^I remember the doctor had me on 6 different pills. Not just that, but an inhaler and Advair. You see, I have mild/moderate asthma that could kill me if I didn't keep it under control. So when I had pneumonia, I had to be extra careful.

Wow... I had very mild (sport and allergy based) asthma as a kid. I can imagine how scary that must have been.

Thankfully I caught mine before it got anywhere near that bad. Well... shouldn't talk yet though. Murphy's law says it might get worse and Murphy has been winning lately.

oh dang! I just had it a month and a half ago! I got it because I had H1N1. err lets see It went away completely in give or take 2 weeks but I was feeling better after about 2 days on the antibiotics, What sucked is I was taking midterms at the time an no sympathy was given.. alas I do hope you feel better!

Get some Airborne.
