because Coldplay is Coldplay, not Radiohead. I feel the need to answer your thread title.

Too much production. Everything is rehearsed. Its kind of a bit much sometimes.

Jesus you're so annoying.

And also there's NO need to point out the obvious ( I looove Coldplay) your username speaks for yourself.

This makes sense.

rofl.

you think i should start by that song?

Radiohead as u2,etc are too old bands

That's actually an album too, you know?

^

i didnt :D

sorry :uhoh:

I swear, this place has become a rehab asylum for people who like coldplay too much.

Not really, because some don't actually get better.

You should get The Bends by Radiohead. It's very Coldplay-ish.

lol that

I wonder if Thom Yorke will hear this thought:inquisitive:

Not really, because some don't actually get better.

there are always hopeless cases, in which case you lock them away in the sexy pictures...and lounge game threads.

But then sometimes they get out! :bigcry:

...., because it´s COLDPLAY and not radiohead!!!!!!

Maybe they're too lazy to change it.

I think it would give them a chance to play more songs we want to hear, like Yes, Twisted logic and Daylight.

I don't think they ever played Yes or TL live.

They played Yes for at least a couple months at the start of the tour, it was pretty cool too because it ended in sort of a 'jam' at the back of the stage. But except for maybe once at a small gig shortly after X&Y was released, they never played TL.

Egads, this is true, they never played Low either (I think so anyway)

EDIT - Nevermind, it's on the Toronto show from 2006, just remembered.

and to anyone who thinks that they're light show is too fancy and stuff:

and the next night they might not play that song or whatever

Meh Radiohead's not so great either.

wait what

nahh i dont like them all that much either, coldplay is 100000X better

Fuck you :wacky:

wow this place is turning into WoM so i thought i would contribute.

simple question. to the coldplay fans here. would you be willing to give up the spectacular coldplay put on during the VLV tour in exchange for more interesting setlists?

because the thing is coldplay put on a "show" while bands like radiohead and pearl jam put on "gigs". each of the awesome effects and fancy things during the VLV show is connected to a song and really only makes sense if its used for that particular song. on the other hand even though radioheads stage looks incredible its a pretty generic set up. its bright during the up beat songs and toned down during the softer songs. which allows the band to change setlists every night.

you also have to remember coldplay has a more 'mainstream' following so a large majority of people at their shows want to hear the big hits.

They played Yes for at least a couple months at the start of the tour, it was pretty cool too because it ended in sort of a 'jam' at the back of the stage. But except for maybe once at a small gig shortly after X&Y was released, they never played TL.

mah bad :shame:
