Yeah. I got mine off the day of graduation, and the incoming band freshmen of my school were supposed to play with the rest of the high school band at the ceremony. I got my braces before I started playing horn, and so I had never played my horn without them before. I was freaking out because I didn't know how it would affect me. It ended up not being a big deal, though. :P

Of course. :nice: I have so far contributed 3 dollars. :P

I've contributed a bunch of crude jokes and insults.

Humanitarian FAIL on my part.

My parents only got me mine because my teeth were THAT bad.

Edit: Too late again. Darn.

I wish I could get braces.

Why?

Haha, my dad's the same way. :P

Mine only were put on because it was medically necessary as I had to get surgery halfway through the braces to take care of some extra teeth going in. In hindsight I'm glad I got them though.

My parents WON'T let me get them because my teeth aren't that bad... I just have a crossbite and an overbite. The dentist says my teeth are too straight to need braces, but I disagree... I want my teeth to be PERFECT.

Poor American people, over here dental care is free until you're 18.

In other words, the braces I had for 2 years didn't cost me a dime...

Cry me a river. I just had braes for 3 years and went through all the crap that goes with that, and even though my teeth are straight, a few are still slightly mis-sized and a few are a wee bit chipped. Mine are far from perfect even after braces, so yeah...cry me a river.

Cost my family about $3,000.

My friend knows this guy who had this lock thing on his braces or something, and once a week, his dad had to turn the thing or something to tighten them and he cried because it hurt so much. :uhoh:

That is very fucked up.

And health insurance doesn't cover that?

I often wonder how some people can be so patriotic about a country which is run like a business.

If you mean the US then I'll agree...it's a sad sad place. :shame:

Some but not all.

nobody 'runs' it, that's the point. I'm not at all patriotic, but it beats getting taxed out the ass.

^that. seems chris is the only other one here who's not a socialist.

I probably have to have braces too since my teeth are all whacked out of shape, except nobody offers them because my fambly has no monies. Dentists only really offer them to you if you have the money.

I never got braces, I always had straighter teeth than my siblings growing up, and although one of my front teeth is now a bit behind the other, they didn't arrange themselves that way until I started college.

I used to have double teeth

Well, I had two baby teeth that refused to fall out. The adult teeth got impatient and instead of pushing downwards, they pushed forwards out of my gums. Finally the baby teeth fell out, and adult teeth moved down a tiny bit, but they're still noticeably out of line.

That is what I mean by double teeth - I had two teeth in the same spot.
