Get rid of the sheetmusic.. go sit behind your piano and take your time and listen carefuly to the song and find out what's played.

Slow down the song where necessary and keep the last note in mind to find the next one.

 

If you do this with multiple songs, you'll be able to play by ear for every song what you'd like te play!

:) Don't worry about the amount of notes, take your time for it!

When it won't work, take a pause and get further later.

i have to agree. i need help with 42 on piano too.

Yh me too. I started playing the piano recently, and I'm learning by myself, so I can't really read the sheet, and I didn't find any instructions on YT or google how to play it. Still to soon to do it by ear.

42 is not that bad, but it is difficult to ear at some points in the song.

Watch other people play it on youtube... thats what I do

The problem is,

that many I can't figure out the bassline (on piano) by ear..

that's really hard if you're self-teaching..
