It puts it in perspective that afterall it is just a song or film or whatever. Same, I think it's way funnier to mock (or have mocked) something you like than something you don't like. Though it sucks that any of my friends like music that i like, so i dont have who to share my thoughts with. but apart from that i dont care if he hates the movie/book/band that i like, i have my own opinion and taste and he has his own.
