A question only for Coldplay EXPERTS

Featured Replies

Hello everybody. Before go asking the Oracle, I want to ask if anybody knows the following:

Take a song like Bigger Stronger. You can actually find it on the SAFETY e.p. and in the blue room e.p. The same happens with other songs like Such A Rush, Don't Panic, among others...

Does somebody knows if those recordings are all the same, or depending on the e.p. or the album the versions are different?

Merci beacoup

they're the same, but in the case of don't panic, the version is a little different....

What she said, all are the same except for Blue Room Don't Panic vs. Parachutes Don't Panic

That's not really an expert question either :D

High Speed is also the same, the other version of it is a demo (not on the EPs/album).

Oh, and Brothers & Sisters is different on the EP than the tape

I thought there was a difference in the such a rush intro between the two, but with the further research I'd say they're the same, bigger stronger is the same, The blue room version of don't panic is completely different from the parachutes version, and I recommend you get it.

Didn't the Oracle already answer this?

Q. Hi Oracle.

Some of the early songs appear on two releases (singles, albums, EPs)

I was just wondering which of the following are actually new versions and which ones were just re-released:

Bigger Stronger (Safety EP/Blue Room EP);

Such a Rush (Safety EP/Blue Room EP);

No More Keeping My Feet on the Ground (Safety EP/Yellow single);

Don't Panic (Blue Room EP/Parachutes);

High Speed (Blue Room EP/Parachutes).

I think the Brothers & Sisters track from Brother's & Sisters is different from the Trouble single, judging by the intro.

I hope this isn't too much work for ya, but I'm sure I'm not the only Coldplay fan to wonder this.

Thanks a million.

The Oracle replies:

The 3 tracks that were originally on the Safety E.P are exactly the same and weren't re-recorded for their subsequent releases. There were 2 recordings of Don't Panic and High Speed from sessions with the original producer Chris Allison before Ken Nelson took over; Don't Panic on The Blue Room E.P is said version.

Brothers & Sisters on the Trouble single is a different version. In fact, the band had already recorded that track before the Fierce Panda release of it.

noonsun,

Because I am in favor of killing all Jews obviously.

Also she thinks Hitler is lonely and needs his own bird?
