random but I love how Mark sent facebook messages to make his "friends" come here to this thread and post.

which is only because most of them don't post here anymore because this place has become so terrible. i've said that before.

anyway, i've already voiced my opinion the other day. since i'm now known as "mark's friend" nobody would listen to me anyway - because for many people here, everyone who's getting on well with mark must be extremely stupid and out of his mind. this is why i won't waste my time anymore.

it really is kindergarten, yeah.

so it wasn't only one "friend"

It's not matter if Mark sends messages. The point is - many people no longer feel comfortable here, because there are too many fights here. I'm here because I want to have fun and can exchange with other Coldplay fans. Stress I can have elsewhere.

indeed !

3.. wow I can see some mobbing here

just a thought here, have you ever considered that mods on a message board should be neutral?

Yep.

And may start to wonder why the hell he should bother spending time and money running it when no-one has a scrap of respect for him or his decisions.

You're all still here, like you said you've still been posting as normal. You may not agree with his desions, you all claim to be so against the way he runs the site but none of you have left.

None of you pay subscriptions to this site so I'm not sure why you've all suddenly decided his actions are accountable to you. Do you really think any of his actions are done with what he considers to be the sites best interests in mind?

If this shit doesn't stop I fear there will no longer be a site to argue over.

The reason I'm against the way he runs the place (Well, pretty much just the Nathan-Sara-Julie situation) is because there isn't much running to be done. There are not many consistently big feuds or situations on here that mods or admins need to sort out, and Ian's made decisions that just dug him in a hole, and now he's too stubborn to say sorry or put his hands up and reverse those decisions. Instead he's just going to ignore our questions.

He took a situation (Mark-Nathan) that for the most part had completely died down, and then he inflamed it, for no reason. From there it just got worse and worse, and there was never any need for it to get like this.

We may not pay to be on here, but a lot of us do put in time to make this place a better place to post. Our questions are ignored, and we're told if we don't like Ian's running of the place then we should go somewhere else, that's really self-centred. I still like a lot of people on here and one administrator isn't going to stop me from posting, that's a ridiculous logic you got there.

  :smug:

yeah but it didn't work :)

The thing we have to remember here is none of us have lives. If we did, we'd be doing something better than posting on a Coldplay forum all day.

THIS ! :laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3:

This all conflict is becoming so surrealist that I find it funny really ! And I think it goes on and on because people enjoy it even if some won't admit it !

Ok, do I need to come in here and start "Moo-ing" at people again?

It is pretty funny. Seriously people. Take a step back, and just look at these fights. They're so ridiculous, it's funny. And as Briggins said, it's hilarious that a thread about "a non-fighting lounge" has become a huge fight.

no offence reilly, but the ridiculous logic in here is that yesterday i told you that in my opinion this is cyber mobbing - and you agreed. plus, someone else said this whole fighting would be for entertaining reasons. this is why i don't agree with what you've just said.

Yep.

The fact that we're here is a compliment to Ian. Generally, this a tremendously well run forum and site, can't stress that enough. But when Mark convinces him to censor the posts Nathan can see, and three people suddenly get banned for unconvincing reasons while Ian and Mark carry on as if it's the best thing that ever happened. It's appropriate to say 'what the hell?' It seems the more utilitarian action would be for Ian to spare himself the trouble of constantly interfering, and presume a laissez-faire attitude. Nathan's most antagonistic threads are usually a reaction to reasonably unfair things.

YEAH MODS SHOULDN'T HAVE OPINIONS!

that's not what i'm saying. maybe it's about how someonce voices his opinion. i think there's a difference.

This site is excellently run, except for this problem. I think that if we all figure out a way to make everyone happy, this place will go back to normal. The tough part is figuring out exactly how to placate everyone.

[random] @*Sarah*: I love your sig! :nice:
