Do you write in cursive or print?

Featured Replies

I write in kind of a combination of both.

I don't like to write in print, especially when taking notes, because I can't print fast enough. And I hate to write in full cursive because it looks too messy.

Which do you prefer?

Print. I have really neat handwriting when I write medium speed I'm told. When I scribble fasts it's completely unreadable.

I can barely do cursive anymore since it's never used after 4th grade. The part of the SAT's where everyone had to write in cursive, took like 10 minutes for 3 lines of writing. No one can do it.

Wtf!

Cursive is piss easy,

we're thought it here and most people still use it.

I waa going actually ask whether its thought properly or strictly in america cause anyone american i does print.

We get taught in elementary school, always with the warning that "next year your teachers will make you write EVERYTHING in cursive!!". and by middle school you never wrote a single thing in cursive...print or more commonly typed.

so after 6-8 years of never writing cursive other than your signature, what would you expect? like any other skill it requires consistent practice or you will lose the ability.

both my hand writting and spelling are crappy though

same here.

they warned us to learn cursive because eventually it would all be cursive. however it was never inforced.

Honestly I don't see what the big deal is about having to write one way or another. I think so long as you can be able to read/understand what the person is writing that's all that matters

Print.

When I write fast I use a mixture between print and cursive.

Print.

I have terribly messy writing though, so it looks cursive sometimes though.

Errr... I think my handwriting is a mixture of both

It was pretty much enforced here :laugh4:

but yeah, that's a good point. As long as the writing is clean and legible.

some one told me my writing was gorgeous today.

Print. And in block capitals.

Print.

I've never liked cursive. And in school we never use it, so my cursive skills are still on a 4th grade level.

I only know lowercase cursive.

I remember having to practice writing cursive a lot in elementary school, and in middle school most of my teachers required us to write in cursive.

But then in high school I went back to writing in print, though I guess it turned more into a blend of cursive and print because I'd become so used to writing in cursive...
