Crests
Okay, so being the genius I am I tried to send an email with 71 songs attached to it because I thought it would be faster then just going one by one. Let it be noted in case it makes a difference that my computer has windows 2000 and 3.07 gb free out of 8.01 gb of space, which makes me even more of a genius. So basically what happened is it froze my computer trying to send and then it timed out so I know it can't possibly be sent and I'll have to end up doing the songs one by one. Now in order to do that I have to get this email with 71 songs attached to it out of my outbox, which I can't do because it's frozen and won't do anything and also I don't think you can delete things from your outbox. Because it's the Outlook Express program I use for my email, when I open my email even before it asks me to log in (which it doesn't at the moment because of this message) it starts trying to send the email message again which means I can't just like go in there before anything happens and try to delete it. What do I do? :bomb:
The Escapist
Have you tried disconnecting your internet?
Crests
That's a good idea, I'll try that.....
an angel
YOU MADE A THREAD LSKDFSLFLJSJFSA :freak: Anyway... after you get your email unfrozen and whatnot, you can just put all the songs in a folder and zip it up, and then send the zipped folder in the email. I don't know if you have winzip though, but it would be faster than sending 71 individual songs... then again, zipping 71 songs might freeze your computer up again, so you could split it up into two or three maybe?
Black Rose
8GB of space? Even my memory card for my camera has more space than that! You need a new computer, windows 2000 is well old, it's a security risk as microsoft has stop support for it
Crests
OF COURSE I DID, THIS IS SRS BSNS. :surprised: So I turned off my internet and it gets onto the email program but the message must be too big or something because as soon as I click outbox to get to it it basically freezes again. I don't think I have winzip. I WAS JUST TRYING TO GET SOME SONGS FROM MY COMPUTER TO THE ONE WITH ALL MY MUSIC ON IT. :bigcry:
an angel
Couldn't you just burn them onto a cd?
Crests
Seriously, who in their right mind attaches 71 songs to a single email message? :bomb: I don't have any, and that defeats the point of me doing this in a way.
an angel
You could upload them onto Mediafire, but that would take a while too if you do each song individually...
Crests
I'll email them all individually which is okay because I enjoy tedious repetitive things like that. Right now I'm just concerned with getting that message out of my outbox. If I uninstall the email program and then reinstall it will it still be there? Though I don't think I should be doing that kind of stuff on my own.
an angel
I think uninstalling and reinstalling would work. :nice:
Crests
Then I'll have to wait for my mom to come home. Haha I love how that works out, I get the house to myself and have time to move all these songs and then I have to wait until I don't have the house to myself and such. :P Thanks guys. :awesome: Uninstalling it better work. 8GB of space? Even my memory card for my camera has more space than that! You need a new computer, windows 2000 is well old, it's a security risk as microsoft has stop support for it I know my computer sucks, you don't have to rub it in. :snobby: Really? :uhoh:

Megalomania
Yay! When I was emailing songs to myself I had to do it three songs per email and even then it took a while
Cobalt
Why couldn't you just upload the songs one by one to ze internets on some hosting site then send yourself the links? Sending 71 songs via email is a bit bandwidth consuming if you're on a plan...

Josh42
Wait....did you seriously just say your Hard Drive is 8GB?
an angel
I think 8gb Canadian translates to 3gb American or some'n like that.
Black Rose
Do USB memory sticks work on Windows 2000? If they do, you could have copied and pasted them to an USB (if you have USB sockets on the computer that is)
heartswarm
the simple solution is to use Dropbox!!! Install this program (it's tiny). It will create a dropbox folder in your hard drive. dropbox will allow you to register for a free 2GB account. put all the songs in that folder and it will automatically sync the files in your dropbox account, and you can access them wherever, through the web, other computers, mobile phone. :D https://www.dropbox.com/ the setup and implementation are easy to do!
