That society wants us to follow a path. I say no, let me be a rebel. I'll lead my own way. Life can look beautiful if you stray away and stand on a cliff overlooking it all.

I agree with you. : )

I learnt that when you're listening to Muse, you've gotta listen to them in High volume so that you can enjoy the music better...

I learned that some times when life gets a bit difficult, you just have to get on with it and not do anything stupid.....

i learnt that i need to appreciate linux more

I learned (or was reminded, rather) that if I don't get some ice cream right after dinner, it will probably be gone by the time I finally decide to have it. :disappointed:

I learned that waking up before noon is actually quite nice.

I straightened out a misconception I had about something I'd not really thought about before thanks to a little reading.

Given that life expectancy 150 years ago in my country was around 40 years on average, I had always presumed that plenty of 40 year olds were dying and it was something of a rarity to see somebody above that age when compared to now. I had of course been blind to the increased rates of infant deaths (naturally I knew about them but hadn't factored them into the average life expectancy). I now know that even in the ancient times, outside of a time when a specific disease was terrorising society, if you lived past childhood, you had a good chance of living into your seventies and beyond.

Obvious when you read it but not something I'd actively considered enough to draw that conclusion.

I learned that my teacher is more awesome than i expected him to be, because he's also going to the Muse concert tomorrow and he called them "world's best band" :D

Reading an article on Vygotsky and inner monologue. When deaf people speak to themselves they use sign language.

All deaf people or only those who were born deaf?

All deaf people or only those who were born deaf?

Good question. It did not stipulate. It would make sense that it was people who were born deaf, or became deaf in their early years - age 4 is typically when children become aware of their inner speech, although it is uncertain as to whether this reflects their inability to reflect on their own thought processes, or the fact that inner speech is not yet fully internalised by that age.

I learned that grandparents can be incredibly generous at times. And that Community on DVD can really help time pass quickly on a 14 hour car ride...

There are a lot of insane people out there.

Today I learnt (to be honest it was more of a realisation) that I have a twitter problem, I'm addicted.
