A few years ago my mom hit a bear. Now that was scary.

Now that you said that, you reminded me that happened to me once when I was 4 or 5.

It was the first time I saw a bear close up. :wacky:

I just saw the most amount of deer I've ever seen in my life!

I went camping with my family, and the first deer we saw ran RIGHT in front of our car on the highway, but luckily we didn't hit it. We also saw a few others in the woods on the way there.

Then when we were driving around the camp, and we saw about five deer on one side of the road, and two others on the other side of the road. One was a baby.

And when we went horseback riding, there was a deer eating about 10-15 feet away from us. I was surprised it didn't run away. It didn't seem to mind us at all, actually.

Anyway, it was :awesome:

A family of deer are camping out in our backyard. One is a faun and it still has its spots. A little Bambi

Deer are tasty.

...

Yeah, this was probably not the appropriate thread for that statement. I just got reminded of it because I was eating, and the deer convo reminded me that I haven't had venison in ages. Sorry. :disappointed:

I'm not a huge fan of venison, but it's not too bad. Duck is the worst

I've never tried it, but my parents say duck is incredibly greasy. Is that true?

Duck is a bit greasy but I wuvs it

I see.

Well, what do people in here know about lamb? It's something else I've never eaten because my parents say it's absolutely gross, and therefore we don't eat it at home.

I ate lamb at Epcot two years ago. I don't think it was that bad, but I don't really remember.

Well, if you don't remember it, it couldn't have been that delicious.

It's extremely greasy

It's just meh. I wouldn't pick it but I didn't mind eating it.

sorry to interrupt your food conversation,

but I was quite surprised no-one commented:

Oh Deer

but oke,

I've tried some deer meat last week,

and I loved it!

unfortunately they don't sell it in the Netherlands, and we also can't hunt them..

Why not? Are they endangered in the Netherlands?

Is there a lot of wooded area in New Jersey?

Yes. Well, the northern area at least. I have a good three or four acres of woods in my backyard, and that's pretty common.

I live in what's known as the "Piney Woods" in Texas, so trees, particularly pines, are abundant around here.

Pine trees

We have a lot of oak trees in the northern part with some pines mixed in but in the southern part we have the Pine Barrens, where the New Jersey Devil was born

We have pecan trees, too. That's the Texas state tree. Fresh pecans are delicious. :wacky:

So is pecan pie!:D

That is the truth. My mom makes the best pecan pie.

We usually buy our pecan pie from a friend of ours who owns a bakery, but when you make it from scratch it's just delicious

Absolutely. I find that store-bought pie just isn't the same.

I've never tasted home made pecan pie.

It's one of my favorites, Pumpkin is my all time fav.
