January 29, 201214 yr Author The good thing with Sherlock is that the 90 minute episode length allows the story to develop more than if it was made in America for their standard 45 minutes episodes
January 29, 201214 yr ^^lol, are you a member at the Muse board? I swear someone said the exact same thing and posted that gif.
January 29, 201214 yr Moriarty. I know he's the villain and everything, but I found his character to be pretty tragic because of his loneliness and boredom with life. I loved Andrew Scott's performance.
January 29, 201214 yr ^^lol, are you a member at the Muse board? I swear someone said the exact same thing and posted that gif. LOL, yeah that was me! I'm kindakooky over there. :P I just posted them over there in the Sherlock thread then thought, "I have to post them [here] too." :D
January 31, 201214 yr Just found a set of gifs of this moment from The Reichenbach Fall: I don't know why but i just LOVED the way he said that bit - and the face palm at the end :lol:Awesome gifs - I'll use the first one as my avatar if that's okay! The good thing with Sherlock is that the 90 minute episode length allows the story to develop more than if it was made in America for their standard 45 minutes episodesYeah, exactly. There's much more time for subtleties and the overall story. Trying to make it fit into 45 minutes would mean rushing too much. Moriarty. I know he's the villain and everything, but I found his character to be pretty tragic because of his loneliness and boredom with life. I loved Andrew Scott's performance. He's my favourite villain. :nice: And seriously, how bored must you be to become like him? :bomb:
January 31, 201214 yr Awesome gifs - I'll use the first one as my avatar if that's okay! I don't mind, they're not MY gifs, i just found them. :)
February 2, 201214 yr If anyone is interested, you can now listen to previews of the soundtrack for series 2 [ame=http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0073DM0HI/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=sherlockology-21&linkCode=as2&camp=1634&creative=19450&creativeASIN=B0073DM0HI]here[/ame]! The violin solos sound so lovely. He's my favourite villain. :nice: And seriously, how bored must you be to become like him? :bomb: He's my favorite too. :awesome: I think it was Steven Moffat who described Moriarty as having a "playful intensity" about him, which I love. Ridiculously bored.
February 3, 201214 yr yeah, i've just watched the last episode, and i can say that it's the best Sherlock Holmes tv series i have ever seen! :D and even though i usually like good characters, this time Moriarty got me :D
February 5, 201214 yr I'm hoping I'll have the time tomorrow to watch the first season's commentaries (just bought the dvd last week :awesome:) also just for giggles

If you'd prefer to actually download it rather than watch it, just google it and I'm sure something will pop up. :nice: So I usually hate fan fiction, but I found this on tumblr and it is really good. :wacky: It's post-Reichenbach, so spoilers for anyone who hasn't finished season 2 http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7753972/1/Promise_to_the_Living
February 6, 201214 yr i think i'm going to do that... i have to wait but then i don't have to worry..thanks :) I'm going to read that fanfiction now! :D
February 6, 201214 yr I bought Season 1 dvd two weeks ago, and I finally got around to watching the Great Game commentary. Absolutely hilarious. :awesome: I still can't get over "Tell us about Rupert Graves, Benedict!" "RUPERT GRAVES IS GOOD AT FOOTBALL AND HAS FIVE CHILDREN"
February 13, 201214 yr just finished watching this series and it's amaaazzzinng! i'm loving on Benedict Cumberbatch these days, he's such an amazing Sherlock. The last episode left me baffled, the next series couldn't come soon enough!
February 13, 201214 yr I got the dvd of the first series now and it doesn't look like the comentary is on it :bigcry: :cry2:
February 13, 201214 yr My series 1 dvd don't have commentary on it either. :bigcry: but there is the Study in Pink pilot which is great
February 13, 201214 yr They didn't come with commentary? :( There are some links on tumblr where you can download them, I guess. After watching the Study in Pink pilot, I'm so glad that they decided to re-shoot the episode and change the format. It's still good, but I like that they went with a different (and improved) overall tone for the final product.
February 13, 201214 yr I got the dvd of the first series now and it doesn't look like the comentary is on it :bigcry: :cry2:[/color] Did you check the menu that comes up after you click on "Watch A Study in Pink"/"The Great Game"? Because I didn't think mine had it either but it was listed within the episode's menu. D: ^And yeah I agree, I like how sexy Benedict looks in the first episode (not that he doesn't look amazing in every episode), but overall the storyline is much better in the 90 minute version
February 13, 201214 yr ^And yeah I agree, I like how sexy Benedict looks in the first episode (not that he doesn't look amazing in every episode), but overall the storyline is much better in the 90 minute version Hee hee, Benedict . . . It was a little weird for me to see Sherlock in jeans, but we love it. I agree, the storyline was definitely much better and it didn't feel as rushed. Plus, there was more time to explore both Sherlock and John's characterizations (that first meeting between Mycroft and John and the whole "you're not haunted by the war" dialogue will always be one of my favorite scenes :awesome: ).

Hey, I'm not complaining. Those jeans are right up there with the coat and the purple shirt of sex. Yeah, very true. And I felt that it was more plausible for Sherlock to be goaded by his own personality than drugged. ALL PRAISE GODTISS. Seriously though, Gatiss as Mycroft is just incredible. I love every single scene he's in. :wacky:
