Which ones have you seen live?

Tegan and Sara in 2008 and BSS/Caribou/Besnard Lakes this year. I really enjoyed BSS and Caribou, but the other two were a bit disappointing.

 

The Karkwa album is particularly enjoyable. I think Coldplayers would enjoy them.

I'm too late for the poll, but I'm 100% rooting for Karkwa. I just bought the album, actually. It is so, SO beautiful. :nice: There isn't a smiley big enough for it.

 

I meant to listen to all the nominees, but I never got around to it, then I started with Karkwa, and well... I'm still listening to them. :embarrassed:

Also Owen Pallett is such a talented musician. He reminds me a lot of Andrew Bird.

Hmm. :nice: Only Caribou left to perform now, and I already know he's awesome (as is his windbreaker... :cool:) I'm glad I'm not picking this one. Each one of them would be a worthy winner based on performances. No fluff this year.

 

But I'm still rooting for Karkwa.

Wow, that is nice. I think it sounds better in French, but it's neat to hear how their style of lyrics sound with the music to someone who can understand it.

Many of the songs Google translate surprisingly well. I'm not sure what that means about them, but it is a little eerie.
