I can see why. X&Y is the era i dislike most. I find the new stuff irrelevant and nothing new and the earlier stuff hasn't held up as well as other things I have got into over the last decade.

 

But I can certainly see the appeal of Coldplay over some of the other bands mentioned recently in the thread.

I've never found them to be so, personally. Same with Radiohead.;)

However, I do respect them as musicians.

 

Muse's "Invincible" is lyrically one of the most uplifiting songs I've ever heard. I just thought I'd throw that out there.

Whatever do you mean? I think Matt is an excellent lyricist. The lyrics is one of the reasons I love Muse as much as I do.

muse are not heavy they are more inclined towards classical and prog rock. i like them coz they remind me of Queen and Pink Floyd (bands i grew up with):P

For me, it depends on what the song is. On some songs like "Fake Plastic Trees," his voice is just gorgeous. On the other hand, there's stuff like that one bit in "Paranoid Android" where he sounds like he's drunk. :lol:

 

I mean this in a nice way, though. I've come to like Radiohead rather much since being introduced to them last year. :nice:
