I don't think either have held up particularly well in comparison to efforts from other bands from around that time but there are still some tracks that are decent if you haven't already milked them.

 

For me I'd say AROBTTH is more mature. Parachutes has some good songs, particularly at the start but AROBTTH has some better song-writing.

 

I haven't listened to a Coldplay album in full since about one year after AROBTTH was released.

AROBTTH is always my favorite but Parachutes is close behind it.

And I can't really listen to In My Place anymore :\ Just total overkill and to be honest I never thought it was that great anyway.

But yeah Politik and A Rush of Blood to the Head the song will always be two of my favorite songs ever.

Also, Spies might be my favorite track from Parachutes, it's extremely underrated.

For me Parachutes took it by a wee smidgin'.

It's really hard to pick between the two. "Parachutes" is more acoustic, while "AROBTTH" is more electric. I feel it's like comparing apples to oranges, honestly.

AROBTTH without question. One of the best albums of the 00s. It's fantastic in every way.

You guys are not alone. I cant hear it anymore, and its probably the only coldplay song i cant stand it anymore.

both are just amazing!! but a rush of blood to the head, theres something about tht album tht keeps me going idk how to explain it lol its lively

Parachutes is just such a pure album. Every song on there is blissful. AROBTTH has some amazing tracks, and I love it, but Parachutes is just a better listen for me. I can listen to it no matter what kind of mood I'm in, at any time of day, on any day of the week, in any place.

 

For me, Coldplay's albums have gotten progressively worse.

 

Parachutes > AROBTTH > X&Y > VLV

Pretty much agreed with these comments. I've never understood why this song is played at nearly every Coldplay show still. Where are the real classics, like Shiver, Don't Panic, Warning Sign, and A Rush of Blood to the Head??

Parachutes - Shiver, we never change, sparks, high speed, spies, trouble, yellow, Everythings not lost, Don't panic, parachutes...All my faves. :heart: Just love this album :wacky:
