Hysterical and Useless

I haven't posted in one month! I'm back to ask for some advice so if anyone has any it would be greatly appreciated  I don't want to use Yahoo answers for personal reasons.

Long story short - how would a 19 year old boy move a couple guitars, a keyboard (piano), an amp, mic stands, a queen size bed and a computer a couple thousand miles away from where he currently lives.

I've grown to hate my family and plan on leaving on this "trip" next spring/summer, that's when I'm going to get a transfer and become an assistant manager where I work.

What's the cheapest way to move and all of my belongings?

Thanks Coldplaying you guys are the best! :awesome: yay!

You hate your family but want personal advice on how to move a bunch of shit around a country?

My advice : Why are you asking me for advice? ;_;

a Removal Van ?

this and also if you plan to do so through a 'trip' of which you don't plan to come back, why to take the bed? won't it'll be a bed where you'll stay?

First of all, make arrangements as to where you plan on staying.

And, yeah.

why did I think of Radiohead when I read the title of this thread?

anyway, I have no advice trololo :escaping:

My advice would be; don't move to another part of the country and consider yourself totally self-dependant if you've never heard of a freaking moving van.

What part of the country are you moving to? I'm guessing to the west coast based on the distance you're referring to though.

If you were moving to the north I'd recommend this guy to you that works for a moving company during the day, and also happens to play bass in a band. i.e., he'll know how to properly move your instruments.

I suggest you sort out what you really really need to bring along.

And also, don't leave home at the time you're hating your family. Settle it first, then leave with a lighter feeling. Y'know, starting off with good feelings is always better.

Just my advice, it's all up to you anyway. :nice:

yeah why don't you fix your problem with your family first.

or save money to buy a van..

I don't understand why you said this, it would be different if I asked my family this?

It's a book about Radiohead; I looked at it on my desk right as I was about to make this thread.

The middle part, about an 18 hour drive from where I live. California cost to much.

Try U-Haul, little carreta and big fun!

I'm almost certain you have to be 25 to rent a U-Haul.

This thread was a let down... :(

It's going to get better.

I'm leaving next summer because I want to and they want me out next summer, this is not really an option for me. If you could understand the circumstances you would know why they want me to leave next summer.

Which means you have to leave?

Well. Yeah

Well. Yeah

I wish you all the best.

I think it's good to move out and not stay with family, independence.

Thank you ;)

Personally I don't think that moving away is going to make the problem of your family disappear. I think you should try to talk to them or work out your issues with them and come to some sort of commonground/understanding because leaving won't make the issue go away.

I do think though it is good to get your independence, but I would just try to work things out first (that is if you haven't already)

When you move are you going to be around any other friends or family?

Best of luck!
