November 8, 201015 yr So I was chatting with briggins online about a show he went to and he mentioned how amazing it was and how much it left an impression. So that got me thinking, when it comes to concerts what would be say your top 5-10 overall of all time, and then of a particular year?
November 8, 201015 yr I'll just go with top 5. 1. Wilco (just...perfect. They played for around 3 hours!) 2. The Mint Chicks at Homegrown Festival (INSANE.) 3. The Swell Season (so goooood) 4. The Phoenix Foundation (the lead singer dedicated a song to me! it was really incredible. ) 5. Sidewalk Meese/Nevernudes/Body 125/Grass Cannons (the bands weren't AMAZING but it was a really fun experience, and I met some amazing people.)
November 8, 201015 yr In no particular order: U2 Green Day Pearl Jam Red Hot Chili Peppers Kings of Leon Jimmy Eat World The Killers Arcade Fire Stone Temple Pilots Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band Incubus The Strokes AFI Social Distortion Coldplay Dave Matthews Band I know that's more than 10, but I've seen a ton of shows. Just brainstorming, these come to the top of my mind. However, if I had to think to hard, it probably didn't leave much of an impression, right? There are some very big bands that I've left off this list. Not because they were bad; they just didn't leave a dynamite impression.

November 8, 201015 yr 1.Blur (I saw them twice in 4 days and the seconde one was incredible, I've never been that excited. One of my friends still tells that she never lived something like that and she's right) 2.Mumford & Sons (tiny venue, really good song and interaction between the band and the audiance) 3.Coldplay (My first big show and I couldn't dreamed of a better place in the crowd) 4.Gossip (Beth Ditto is so generous on stage, and her voice!) 5.Graham Coxon (really really good music, and so emotional) 6.Beach House (that was just magical) 7.Supergrass (their last concert, probably not their best but I had a great time, jumping and singing along)

November 8, 201015 yr In no particular order: The Decemberists (2007) Patrick Watson (2008) The National (2010) Arcade Fire (2007) Kyteman (2009, a Dutch act) For 2010 (again in no particular order): Frightened Rabbit Jónsi The National Flight of the Conchords (although that was almost more comedy than music) LCD Soundsystem And an honourable mention for Snow Patrol because that was my first concert and I can't think of any gig that affected me more (I was bouncing for a whole week after the concert and developed a HUGE obsession). :nice: 2010 is probably my favourite live year so far, if only because I've never been to so much concerts (and festivals) in one year and I still have a lot to look forward to this month.
