Rank the Concerts you've gone to

Featured Replies

So I was chatting with briggins online about a show he went to and he mentioned how amazing it was and how much it left an impression.

So that got me thinking, when it comes to concerts what would be say your top 5-10 overall of all time, and then of a particular year?

I'll just go with top 5.

1. Wilco (just...perfect. They played for around 3 hours!)

2. The Mint Chicks at Homegrown Festival (INSANE.)

3. The Swell Season (so goooood)

4. The Phoenix Foundation (the lead singer dedicated a song to me! it was really incredible. )

5. Sidewalk Meese/Nevernudes/Body 125/Grass Cannons (the bands weren't AMAZING but it was a really fun experience, and I met some amazing people.)

In no particular order:

U2

Green Day

Pearl Jam

Red Hot Chili Peppers

Kings of Leon

Jimmy Eat World

The Killers

Arcade Fire

Stone Temple Pilots

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band

Incubus

The Strokes

AFI

Social Distortion

Coldplay

Dave Matthews Band

I know that's more than 10, but I've seen a ton of shows. Just brainstorming, these come to the top of my mind. However, if I had to think to hard, it probably didn't leave much of an impression, right? There are some very big bands that I've left off this list. Not because they were bad; they just didn't leave a dynamite impression.

2010 is probably my favourite live year so far, if only because I've never been to so much concerts (and festivals) in one year and I still have a lot to look forward to this month.

Be prepared for a very long list, everyone. :nice:
