November 12, 201015 yr They were just smart enough to hide it from the Coldplaying administrator who'll spank their asses for putting charity tickets for sale. :whip:
November 12, 201015 yr Did you ring them yet? I tried, but it dialed busy. I'll call on monday. But have anyone else here gotten the same message? Or have the same problem.
November 12, 201015 yr I tried, but it dialed busy. I'll call on monday. But have anyone else here gotten the same message? Or have the same problem. No but it'll probably mean that you'll have to give the tickets to me.
November 12, 201015 yr Smebody who has ebay go tell them that they are Greedy selfish basterds making a £750 profit for some Charity tickets
November 12, 201015 yr Congrats to everyone who got tickets  But I'm really sorry for everyone who tried but couldn't :( This kind of thing often leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. Opening the system early is just unfair, and I feel particularly sorry for people who live locally who couldn't get any  Hasn't it been said somewhere online that ID will be checked against tickets? If so, send a complaint with the link to ebay and they should pull the listings. I managed to get two tickets to the Liverpool gig, but the thing is that I did't see the "coldplay.com-option" so I entered a ZIP code that a friend of mine living in Liverpool gave me. I entered the number to my debit card and I entered all the info needed. And all went well, I got a confirmations mail and all that. But the tickets are " 2 STANDING (LIVERPOOL RESIDENTS) at £55.00" One hour ago I got an mail from Seetickets customer service saying that I need to call them regarding my booking. Now I wonder, will I need to return my tickets? I'm worried :( I thought all the residents tickets had to be bought using a card registered to an address there? If so I think you'll lose the tickets unless you can get your friend to use their card to pay...
November 12, 201015 yr My last post raises a point actually - what's happening to tickets that become available due to the inevitable failed transactions? The page there now goes straight to the auction I think, will they release such tickets, and if so will you get through to a page to buy some before the auction page pops up? <edit> Just did a search on Seetickets for 'Coldplay' and the only event listed is Coldplayer :laugh3: at the Liverpool Stanley Theatre...a slip there? <edit 2> Silly me, wrong month, it's the tribute band after all! http://www.seetickets.com/Tour/COLDPLAYER
November 12, 201015 yr No sympathy for those who bought ticks without local postal code who may now have to give them up as you didnt follow the rules
November 12, 201015 yr No sympathy for those who bought ticks without local postal code who may now have to give them up as you didnt follow the rules There was an allocation of tickets available for people without a local postal code though.
November 12, 201015 yr Yes there was an option for non local ticks that was seperate from the main link, just looks that some people disregarded the rules for their own means
November 12, 201015 yr <edit> Just did a search on Seetickets for 'Coldplay' and the only event listed is Coldplayer :laugh3: at the Liverpool Stanley Theatre...a slip there?I knew it! :laugh3: They played the nearby Mountford Hall on the Uni campus back in 2002 p.s. I'm not ingnoring your PM, its on my list of to-do's :P

November 12, 201015 yr so far we've had Stanley theatre and Olympia, surely there can't too many 1000-capacity venues left...?
November 12, 201015 yr No problem Ian :) Coldplayer is actually a real tribute band apparently and has Liverpool listed in upcoming shows... http://www.coldplayer.info/coldplay.html <edit> Ah you're right, didn't read properly, silly me! It's the 19th November they're playing, not December. Good thing I'm not going to the gig as I can't even get the month right :laugh3:
November 12, 201015 yr A US ebay listing... for almost $3000. http://cgi.ebay.com/Coldplay-Tickets-Hidden-Venue-Liverpool-England-12-19-/280587010111?pt=US_Tickets_all_in_one&hash=item41544a003f#ht_923wt_1141

And the username... "ireekofawesumnes". Whatever. And I don't think it will work, because they won't ship the tickets to the U.S. so they would have to be picked up at the venue. And you need the original ID/credit card for that so...
November 12, 201015 yr Hey, I just looked at the ticket site, and it says this: Coldplay With special guests the Choir with No Name at a Hidden Venue in Liverpool on Sunday 19/12/2010. STANDING - £50 - SOLD OUT SEATS - £50 - SOLD OUT SINGLE SEATS - £50 - SOLD OUT Coldplay With special guests the Choir with No Name - compered by Ant & Dec at a Hidden Venue in Newcastle on Monday 20/12/2010. SEATS - £50 - SOLD OUT SINGLE SEATS - £50 - SOLD OUT It says the Standing seats are sold out for Liverpool, but doesn't say anything for Newcastle. Maybe there are still some available?...

I just sent the seller the following question. I'll let you know what the response is once I get it. I'm curious what the seller says. I have a feeling I either won't get an answer, or they will just plain lie. "How do you propose that the buyer(s) enter the venue? ID/credit card info of the original purchaser needs to be shown at the venue, since it specifically says on the seeticket site that none of the tickets will be mailed out, they will all need to be picked up at the venue. Are you going to accompany the buyer(s) to the event, show your info, and then give the tickets to them?"
November 12, 201015 yr Ha ha. I just sent the seller the following question. I'll let you know what the response is once I get it. I'm curious what the seller says. Are you going to accompany the buyer(s) to the event, show your info, and then give the tickets to them?"I should add, do you ship your CC details and card by Fed-Ex? Well, the seller responded very quickly. Here it is: "hello, without getting into too much detail, this will not be a problem...the winning bidder will be able to collect the tickets with themselves and their guest on their own time completely...there will be no need to meet anyone to be escorted in or collect the tickets from" HUH? WTF?!?
November 12, 201015 yr "Without getting into too much detail" :dozey: That translates to, don't know, don't care, isn't my problem, I'm gonna take the money and run.
November 12, 201015 yr "Without getting into too much detail" :dozey: That translates to, don't know, don't care, isn't my problem, I'm gonna take the money and run.Should I send a follow-up question and say, "Yes, I think you do need to go into more detail" ? I mean the rules clearly quote the credit card fraud issues in regard to why they need ID and the credit card when you pick them up. I don't see how it could be otherwise. Basically I'm just curious as to whether I should report it on eBay. It's bad enough that the seller is trying to make a £900 profit per ticket.
