Hi,

I'm posting the latest from Anchorman regarding the auction.

Hi (deleted)

They're going to email something along these lines to bidders and post

on the auction page...

A

A few customers have asked for some clarity on the auction process so

we thought we would take the time to address the following questions –

Q: If I bid for a VIP ticket and a standard ticket what happens if I

win in each auction?

A: In this instance your highest bid will be taken as your winning

bid. You will not be asked to pay for two sets of tickets.

Q: If I bid for a VIP ticket and I lose, does my bid get transferred

to the standard auction?

A: No, all bids are specific to the category they were entered in. If

you want to increase your chances then you are advised to bid in both

categories and then your highest bid will count.

We hope that clears up any confusion!

The auctions close at 2pm on Friday the 19th November and bidders will

be emailed at 4pm to let them know if they are a winner

Surprisingly I'm not nervous/freaking out yet. :|

But to "patiently" wait 2 hours to find out if you won a ticket? wtf - AGONY. With eBay it's within a 2 seconds.

but are you really going to spend 1000 pounds for a ticket guys????

That's the HIGHEST bid. The lowest winning bid is likely much lower than that, but because of the way the auction is set up we have no idea what that lowest figure is.

I reckon it'll be 4pm at the latest and they're just saying that so people don't start freaking out at 2.01pm

Good luck to everyone with bids in, fingers crossed that the Coldplaying karma is with you!

yeah i know this, and i hope you will be able to find a ticket at a fair price.. also 400£ is not a price to pay for a concert...i think i would pay max 150£ for a concert.. anyway i really hope you will succeed in that guys!

:)

So are you going to bid?

Best of luck to all Coldplayers!

:wacky: Yes. Got a plan with 2 other Coldplayers, hopefully it will work out!

I'm watching the Storytellers show as I'm typing this and I'm thinking holy poop I might go to something small like that. :dead:

I gotta give credit to one of the people though, they convinced me to beg my work for the possible time off, and the begging worked. I just wish I had found out before the 50 quid tickets went on sale! :disappointed:

ok can somebody help me clear this out???

"You have bid for 2 AUCTION tickets at a total cost of £500.00."

does this mean that i've bid 500 pounds for EACH ticket or for both???????????

I think total cost implies it's for both tickets :nice: I could be wrong, though!

are you bidding as well or are you one of the lucky few who got a ticket at a HEALTHY price? :)

Not bidding and didn't really get a ticket at a healthy price either :P It's aaall good, though! :)

I really don't know what to do now cause IF i'm in for 1000 pounds for 2 tickets i'm in trouble. But if my bid is 500 pounds for both then I could raise it to 600, even though I probably won't win as the prices will sky rocket within the last 5 minutes...

Sorry, can't help you there! :\ At least wait until the last minutes to raise the bids I'd say. '

Good luck!! :nice::hug:

I think it means 500 for both, when it says it´s "a total cost of 500"

I guess you have marked 2 tickets and your bid was 500, right?

Good luck, the prices are unbelievable!

Unbelievably high, or low?

Haha, unbelievably high, of course.

And the funny thing is that the VIP tickets for Newcastle are cheaper than the ordinary ones for Liverpool. :shocked2:

(at least so far)

Right!!! I certainly hope so as I've obviously bid 500 pounds with TWO tickets in mind!!!!!

Yeah I know... It's weird how newcastle prices are RELATIVELY very low. Perhaps because it's on a monday...

Haha, unbelievably high, of course.

I guess it depends how you look at it. I think it's a lot to pay for a concert ticket, but at the same time, I'm surprised their not going for a higher amount.

You could well have a point. I believe the weekend Take That tickets (especially the London ones) sold out far quicker than the weekday ones.;)

Well, you´re right, if I had the money, I would definitely spend any amount for the VIP tickets and it would surely be worth it! And there are lots of people in the world who CAN afford it.

I was judging by the prices of the last year´s Exeter tickets that went for 800 a pair in the auction and there were only 5 pairs available! Compared to that, it is unbelievable ;)

All of the high bids were unchanged at the time the auctions ended. :| They were like that for a few days, I think.

Crossing my fingers, hopefully the plan worked. I can't tell if they're contacting the winners by 4pm or after 4pm. I wonder if they plan to contact people even if they weren't successful, or if they are only contacting the winners?

Gave Holly a call to check the status of the winning bids - results will be announced in a hour and emails will be sent to winning bidders.

Wishing best of luck to all. :)

^thanks for the info.

Good luck to those bidding. :fingers crossed:
