November 11, 201015 yr Jeepers. I'm absolutely gutted. I live just outside the postcode for Newcastle but my friend agreed to buy them for me. Are we now saying that I won't be able to use the tickets?

Don't they just send the tickets out to him - rather than having to collect them at the venue? That's what I don't understand. Clutching at straws big time now, but if you can only collect them at the venue, could I borrow the card in which he paid for the tickets and that be good enough to get me in? I cannot say how desperate I am to see them.

November 11, 201015 yr I went to an Arcade Fire gig in London this summer and you had to show the credit card the tickets were bought with at the door. I would assume the situation will be something like that.

I would assume the situation will be something like that. In that case, it might not be all bad. If I can persuade my mate to give me his card for the night (hard task I know) then all might not be lost. That way, I'll have a print out confirming 'I' have bought the tickets, and I'll even have the credit card on which it was bought.

And if you're overseas, don't even try it. I guess the only thing I'm not entirely sure of at this point, is if you do have them delivered and you already have them in your hand once you get there, is whether they would still ask you for ID. That part I don't know.

That part I don't know. This is sounding better. I live in England so they won't be sending them overseas. Then if they still ask me for ID after I've bought the tickets, I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
November 11, 201015 yr There is a big ticket-selling company here called Ticketmaster that gives you the option to do that instead of the usual ticket. I've heard that within the next few years they plan to do that only and completely get rid of the standard hard copy tickets. So yeah, I don't know why the sh*ticket site can't do that. I :heart: Ticketmaster. But I didn't know about that until I got to the gig (I had had the physical tickets for months) and I saw people walking around before the doors opened with pieces of paper. :lol: But hard copy tickets leave you with a better souvenir. :P

I guess it comes down to whether SeeTickets allow you to post tickets out to somewhere other than the billing address. Personally I'm not so sure that they do. "In order to buy a ticket for either gig your billing address must be based in Liverpool for the 19th December gig or Newcastle for the 20th December gig." This is what SeeTickets page says: # To enter the venue on the day of the event, each original purchaser and any person accompanying him/her to the show must be present at the venue on the night of the show. There are no exceptions to this. # Upon arrival at the venue each original purchaser must present the actual credit/debit card used for the purchase along with their tickets and receipt in order to gain entry to the venue. Failure to present the valid card and receipt may cause you to be refused entry to the event. So.... I'm clinging to the fact that if I turn up to the show with my mates debit card claiming to be him. I'll be fine.

If it's Newcastle, and I don't get some, I'll gladly take them off your hands - then we could always just meet up at the gig and get the tickets then.
