Crests, you've just enter into the world of the god of music (IMO)...Hope you'll be touch by him!

I sense this is the beginning of something wonderful. :wacky:

I'm pretty sure he's got more talent than Coldplay. :blank:

Crests you are starting a journey into the works of one of the great musicians of all time. Enjoy the ride.

I will, I'm ashamed and how long it took me to get here. :wacky:

What?! He's a legend! It's not that I don't like Coldplay, but he can't even be compared to Coldplay.

I sense this is the beginning of something wonderful.

Yes it is :smug: There is a before and an after Jeff... His music, his words, his voice...it's something that changes you and move you in a way than any other artists can't achieve...

Jeff is a ligue on his own... I say this as a huge CP, there are my n°1 band but Jeff...is something else entirely...

You should watch some footage of him live, it's just incredible to see someone so intense on stage....We all know his cover of Hallelujah but to me, this is best performance ever:

If you're not moved after that, you're heartless

When will your second album come out...? :bigcry:

:wacky: It's amazing.

I've been listening to him for 3 hours.

You'll find that his music never gets old. It's timeless.

I think Grace is my favourite song so far.

My favorite (other than Hallelujah) might be Lover You Should've Come Over...though Eternal Life is epic...all the songs are

I didn't like Alligator Wine at first, but I like it now.

I think Grace is my favourite song so far.

This is a good song  but there are so many of them! My all time favorite is 'all flowers in time bend towards the sun'. he wrote it for Elizabeth Fraser (Cocteau Twins, Massiv Attack) when they were dating...There is a live version that is on YT but I prefer the one where they sang it together... It was never properly released so this is the demo version. Love the laughing and you can sense their complicity in it...The melody is simple but this song is just 'pure'....and the lyrics said it all...

Basically any of his music you don't like at first keep listening to, cause it always grows on you.

^Ooh

That's good, I hate when things just never grow on you. :P

Does he have other albums? *noob*

so beautiful :bigcry:

So so so beautiful. :stunned:

My favourite I think is Last Goodbye and Morning Theft... and Vancouver. :nice:

@Crests: 'Sketches for...My Sweetheart the Drunk'...it was his in progress second album that was posthumously released by his label and friends and family.

Does he have other albums? *noob*

As pseudonym said, 'my sweartheart the drunk' was supposed to be his second album, and I hate to say that, but thx to Mary Guibert for releasing the 'sketches' of it....You'll find on it almost finished versions of songs that Jeff had recorded and probably never touch again and demo songs he record on an old recorder in his cabin he rent in Memphis. Brilliant what he could do with a guitar and taping on walls...

So that's it for the proper records. But you have live albums: the one from Chicago 'mystery white boy' and the one from the Olympia in Paris. The songs are almost the same but I prefer the one in the Olympia (so funny to hear him speaking french...XD), there is more 'emotions' on it. Just ''j'en connais pas la fin' (edith piaf cover) which is a gem.

Then you'll have the live at Sin-é (which was the club where he perfomed before getting famous). I love this one (got the deluxe edition). He did some covers on it and you could hear him speak between songs, recite poems he wrote.

and then you have the 'best of' (which is basically 'grace' and has no interet what so ever IMO)

On the video side, you have 'Grace around the world' which is a collection of ITV, live performance and a documentary about him. I have it and it's really good. There are other documentaries on the internet, I think I put the links here a while back ago ;)

Ad for books, I recommend the one from Merri Cyr, his friend and photograph. There are beautiful pictures of him in it, and his friends wrote things about him.

If you want more infos, you know where I'm am!

I can't stop listening to All Flowers In Time Bend Towards The Sun. Their voice fit perfectly together, and Jeff's voice is so soft and calming...

You're like an encyclopedia. :P

Well, that's the results of 12 years of addiction... :dead:

I know right?!! Glad you like it :)

Does anyone know where I can find some rare Jeff Buckley memorabilia?
