He's legend....

did you know that he never played the a song the same way twice... he always switched it up.. and during rehersals, he never played the song as he would at gig time. His band would have to look to him all the time to see his next move and to stay in sync with his timing.. if you have the pleasure of seeing the dvd.. take note. Its impressive. Its like the music lived thru him.

Did you know all the high pitched gospel voices in the background of Lover were actually several vocal takes done by Jeff? I had assumed it was like some professional gospel singers....nope, it was all Jeff. He was one of the greatest singers of all time.

Wow, really??

Jeff Buckley is  btw.

Which DVD??? Chicago one?

^yes... :)

I also have that mp3 if you guys are still looking for it.. :nice:

He's dead?...shit, how did I miss that

Since 1997... :bigcry:

For the DVDs, I've bought the 'Grace around the world' and it's great! Lots of unseen live perf of Jeff, some interviews, and a documentary (the one that I hadn't seen yet!). I felt bad buying cause I felt like falling into Mary Guibert's fan trap machine but I'm a weak fan....

^Love the avi. Grace is incredible. I love listening to it when I haven't in a while... I almost always find something new to love.

You're welcome ;)

A little while ago, the medias digged up the projet of a biopic on Jeff...There were rumors of Pattinson, the dude from Twilight, who would play Jeff's part :dozey: but thanksfully, the guy said he wasn't looking like him so he said no. Rumors are still buzzing around James Franco (which I would LOVE to see to portray him!). The script is apparently finally on the pipes (well, they say that for a few years now... :dozey: )

Wait & see!

In the meantime:

I am getting Sketches for Christmas...been 1 year since I got Grace. Loving Jeff and wishing he was still with us.

Oh and BTW my dad was just telling me about another artist who was the 'king of falsetto' in his opinion. I played him the last 30 seconds of 'Corpus Christi Carol' from Jeff and he left saying "all right, he's the king." :laugh3:

You'll see it's a great album!!! The rough songs are brilliant...I've always wondered how it would have sound completed....What Jeff managed to do with just a guitar, a little magnetophone and...taping objects around is just AMAZING! :shocked2:

Yeah Jeff was beyond amazing, I already have a few Sketches songs (Everybody Here Wants You, Forget Her) but I look forward to getting to hear the rest.

Yeah I still can't believe he hits those notes.

I see you live in the US. The european version of this double album got a 'bonus' track called 'gunshot glitter' (track 7 on my album). Dunno if you'll have it on yours so, just in case, here it is:
