I love you!

:D no problem!

A friend ripped it for me  This session is truly amazing! I wonder why the radio kept this session 'secret' for so long...

the beginning is just :bomb: but earing Jeff talking about Grace's release... :bigcry:

I know, it's amazing! Thanks for sharing it :D I miss good old Jeffo :bigcry:

I miss him all the time... I always wonder how his music would have evolves with time.... and I've just realized the other day that he would have been 44 now :stunned: I've been listenning to his music for more than 10 years now and it hit me just the other day...!

I'm waiting for the biopic to finaaaaaally start off... 'Mystery white boys' have been put on James Franco's page on imdb recently...

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0290556/

Hope it's not a just a rumor cause I've always root for Franco in Jeff's role....They are so look alike

They do look a bit alike.

But first off Jeff was not nearly as built as James Franco, but far more importantly, Franco has a really low voice. I highly doubt he could pull off singing like or even pretending to sing like Jeff.

If James is playing Jeff, I doubt he will be singing... I mean nobody can sing like Jeff, so whoever they choose to play him, I *think* it would be better to dub the actor for the singing part...

Anyway, Robert Pattinson was on the line for the role but he was not cast *relief* We dodge that bullet! :D

But anyway, it's been 5 years now that they are talking about this movie and still nothing.... :dozey:

Well I guess I would be slightly disappointed with dubbing as many great biopics involved the actors doing the singing (Walk The Line, Ray, the new The Runaways). They'd have to do a superb dub-job to make it convincing.

Robert Pattinson? Not only is he a shit actor but he looks nothing like Jeff. Isn't he British?

Well we can hope for something someday.

Jeff has such an unique voice, I don't think they'll find someone that look like AND sing like him! I prefer a dubbed version than a musical slaughter...

I think so  but I would have hang myself if he had get the part!

That's all we have left... :dozey:

Juaqiun Phoenix (however the hell you spell his name) looked and sung like Johnny Cash (to a certain extent), Reese Witherspoon looked kind of like and sounded a lot like June Carter Cash, and Jamie Fox looked and sounded a hell of a lot like Ray Charles. It can be done.

Yeah it can be done, but IMO, Jeff is maybe the hardest artist to imitate. That's why I was saying this ;)

They do look a bit alike.

  • 1 month later...

I just got Grace and I'm listening to it.

I love it. :wacky:

Crests you are starting a journey into the works of one of the great musicians of all time. Enjoy the ride.

You know what? I'm totally drunk right now but I was just playin Shiver on Guitar Hero and thinking they tried to emulate Buckley on this song and ended up doin better (IMO). They always try to be like other bands ie. U2 and it turns out so much better!

Why? I would still think that's true. U2 totally sucks now, and Jeff Buckley has maybe 1 good song. U2 peaked at The Unforgettable Fire, and it was all downhill from there. But that is my opinion.

Jeff Buckley has maybe 1 good song.

Very wise to say that in this of all threads.

LOLOL why? am I gonna get beat up? This is a Coldplay forum, ultimately, so I choose them, overall

To say Buckley had only one good song not only makes you look ignorant, but it strongly negates any other points you've made.

I've really tried to like other Buckley songs, but they just don't 'speak' to me the way Coldplay's do.

That doesn't mean he only had 1 good song. That means you don't necessarily like his music. To come in this thread and declare that he only had 1 good song is just stupid.

Well it's a Coldplay forum; I like Coldplay. Nah nah nah nah boo boo :) Okay I'll shut up now

Crests, you've just enter into the world of the god of music (IMO)...Hope you'll be touch by him!

Jeff Buckley has maybe 1 good song.

:laugh3: joke of the year!

On the info side, dunno if someone already put this here since this infos has been around for while, but now, it's seems it's gonna happen: Jeff Buckley, the musical...or should I say: Romeo & Juliet the musical feat. Jeff's song...

http://consequenceofsound.net/2010/04/26/adaptation-of-romeo-and-juliet-to-feature-jeff-buckley-songs/

Dunno what to think of this.... Great story + great music= win in a way but as the article said: who can cary Jeff's songs?... And how it will be adapted??
