Yeah, that part didn't work out for him... *stupid Mississipi*

Anyone here got the grace around the world? I got the deluxe edition and it was worth every cent. Loved the postcards, Jeff's boarding pass, posters and especially the amazing grace documentary,i felt pretty sad after i watched it . :(

Any other fans around?

I have had Grace album since last Christmas but only recently began learning several songs from it (other than Hallelujah which I learned a long time ago)> I've been learning Grace (finger picking faster than humanly possible) and Lover You Should've Come Over (terrific song).

So now I have a deeper appreciation for the sheer brilliance of the music.

I have yet to see any live material other than some Youtube vids...suppose I oughta check them out as everyone insists how amazing he was live.

lOVER YOU SHOULD..... I used to not like the worst on the album ,now its near to my fave on the album. Amazing

It's so hard to play though. For one, the timing is really odd and hard to get down, and two it's impossible to sing like Jeff.

Jeffs voice is THE BEST!!!!!! No one can top it. Its one of the most unique voices ever.

Did you know all the high pitched gospel voices in the background of Lover were actually several vocal takes done by Jeff? I had assumed it was like some professional gospel singers....nope, it was all Jeff. He was one of the greatest singers of all time.

I heard he had something like a four octave range. ridiculous. On corpus christi carol he just keeps on going higher at the end.

me! me! me! I love Jeff Buckley.

Grace is an absolutely beautiful album. It's impressive you're learning to play the songs... I just attempt to sing along. :D Lover and Last Goodbye are my favorites, but they're all beyond incredible. :wacky: His voice was amazing and it's a real shame he's no longer with us.

me! great stuff, especially the Chicago DVD of the 1995 gig

indeed it is! Dedicated to Jose Cuervo! lol Thats was a good pick up for me... and I have you to thank for that! ;)

Dream Brother still ranks on my top fave Buckley songs...

^hmmm... haven't seen that one. I'll have to check it out.

Dream Brother is a great song. This thread got me in the mood to listen to the cd, which I hadn't done in a while. It's all soooo good.

His falsetto is so strong and clear, that's how he gets those high notes. Corpus Chrisi Carol is a singing clinic.

They're so hard to play, some of the fastest finger picking I have ever seen in songs like Grace.

You've finally seen the light?! :D Jeff is God (musically speaking).

As a welcome present, here's unreleased song, you may not have heard yet. It's a duet with Elizabeth Fraser (Cocteau twins, Massiv Attack). Jeff wrote this song for her when they were dating and they recorded it but it was never released.
