I hope that will also happen here :P according to the rumors 2011 will be an awesome year for concerts here. It seems The Strokes will tour South America in february, U2+Muse in March and we'll have the first international Lollapalooza festival in April here in Santiago :awesome:

It is a random choice  I mean, Buenos Aires or Rio de Janeiro are bigger cities but I guess Rock in Rio is enough for them next year. I hope they'll bring Arcade Fire :bomb: The venue is very nice, it's a big park with a 15000 people arena in the middle and a little theatre too

Cut Copy will be here for a New Year's eve show, but I don't think I'll go because none of my friends like them and I don't want to spend new years day alone D:

I don't have any problem with Muse. I just find them incredibly less interesting than Coldplay. Let's be honest here - Muse are most known for their live shows and not their albums. Coldplay I feel it's a bit of both. I didn't read one newspaper review here in the UK who gave them less than 4 stars during their stint touring the country at the end of 2008. Others, and most will say Muse but personally I'd much rather see Coldplay because the experience of bounding along to Yellow is far greater than Uprising. Coldplay are just much more diverse! I watched Muse's set at Glastonbury back in June and it wasn't as enthralling as I thought it'd be. I just thought it was a bit...samey. And also the best part was their cover with The Edge of Where The Streets have No Name...which pretty much just said that U2 are the best. And besides, U2 encompasses the best bits of Coldplay and Muse live - which easily makes them the greatest live band. Still a truly untouchable band live!

Well as I said, Muse might well be great live, but unfortunately none of their songs excite me enough to want to go to see them. That's what it all boils down to.;)

Well that sucks. I think the interaction between performer and crowd is extremely important.

I'm pretty sure it's no coincidence that most of my favourite bands and singers are excellent communicators on stage.;)

That's true. Although Muse let their music do the talking. ;)

Ha, that sounded cheesy.

But it's true, they don't need to talk and stuff to make a great show. It's all about the music which in the end is the important part of concerts, not confetti or the frontman making jokes.

Understand that while I haven't seen Coldplay live, I have watched countless live videos of theirs as I used to be a total fangirl. :P

Let me just say it: Muse are incredible live.

Okay, they don't talk to the audience as much, but that's because they're focused on putting on an amazing show. . .and then when they do talk, it's really special. It's not just "Thank you" after the song, it's "YOU GUYS FUCKING ROCK!" :awesome: :wacky:

I have rarely seen Muse make a mistake live, and the times I have seen that are from a video where someone collected all the incidences they could (only about 3 minutes! :P)

Their music is stadium-filling music, and they really know how to make a show keep moving. Not once during the whole hour and forty two minutes was I not paying attention to them.

Muse may not interact with the audience by talking a lot, but their music is so crowd-engaging. The whole audience just goes crazy when they see Matt doing an epic move, or Chris starting Hysteria. That may be true for every artist, but for Muse I just felt connected to their music.

Also, Muse designed their tower setup so that none of the fans would miss out on the action. I know it worked, as I was way in the back and seeing Dom was not a problem. :D

Also, the New Born laser-psychoness is just crazy. :awesome: It's so crazy it blew out Nassau Coliseum's sound. :dizzy:

Coldplay try harder to reach the crowd and interact with them more (the stage within the audience), but I feel like Muse don't have to do that, their music is so powerful. . . also, the shiny suits and LED glasses help us see them. :P

One of the major complaints from Muse fans is their lack of setlist changes. This recent US tour, they've mainly kept the exact same setlist, changing out only one or two songs depending on the venue. I can see why some people would complain about that, especially the ones that are traveling across the country to see them multiple times, but they've kept that setlist because it works. The majority of the crowd loves it, and it has a good variety of their best songs.

And the three or rarities they rotate in and out of their setlist are good compensation for the hardcore fans. (Citizen Erased, Take A Bow, and Ruled by Secrecy)

I think the reason that they've not been playing them so much is the crowd reaction. . . the Twilighters that go to see Muse "becuz he's frends with R Patz becuz he maed music for Twilight ZOMG SUPERMASSIVE BLACK HOLE!!! :cheesy:" as well as the not-so-hardcore-fans give them little reaction. Look at Ruled by Secrecy in Seattle. . . the audience is bored. :wreck: They didn't appreciate the song. </3

Now, look at Citizen Erased. When I went to see Muse they played it live in the US for the first time since 2007 (:awesome:). The crowd was going absolutely berserk. They played it again a week later at the Voodoo festival, and the audience again had little reaction to that song. . .

And wow I've gone on a rant. :|

It's so true though!
