Should people leave cping if they stop liking coldplay?

that's the question

If you don't like them, post the reasons why you're still around :)

Hey! Beat you to it xD

http://coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74341

Edit: But I don't think they should leave. I was a fangirl when I joined, but then I met a lot of awesome people in the lounge, my taste in music changed and I stopped liking Coldplay as much as I used to. I wouldn't leave because this place is still fun, I know a lot of people here and like talking to them, and I like to discover a lot of new music in the WoM.

oops :P

mods, can you remove this please? :shy:

Should try posting this one on Coldplay section itself.

let's move one and keep the other here!

where's imkella?

I think that it would be stupid for someone to leave this forum if they stopped liking the band. If that was the case then like 1/2 the members in the lounge would probably be gone

I like them, but clearly not as much as I used to. I'm not particularly too excited about their music much more. I feel their time has kind of come and gone with me, though I will admit it's nice to listen to their songs every now and then.

But I think it would be stupid for people to leave the forum if they didn't like the band. I mean people becomes friends with other people, and also enjoy posting topics. I for one joined the forum after I was really into the band because I liked the atmosphere and still really do.

Maybe they can be merged

Nobody has ever suggested that non-Coldplay fans don't belong here, just that they should be respectful to the Coldplay fans, including the fangirls, who aren't doing anyone anyone any harm.

like I said before in that other thread:

Everyone knows this place is not all about coldplay, people make friends and connects through this place, some people stop liking coldplay and start getting into new bands thanks to the great threads in the WoM section. There's no need for them to leave cping just because of that.

yes merging threads is a good option :)

let's move one and keep the other here!

where's imkella?

Sooooorry, busy writing more Christmas cards. :shame:

Threads merged. :lips:

I actually joined the forum after my big coldplay phase for the main purpose of posting in the WoM actually

Threads merged. :lips:

thanks :)

it seems we all agree so the "this is a coldplay site" argument is shit.

I like Coldplay but to say that people who don't like them aren't allowed here is just insane :wtf:

It makes a nice change for the lounge to be somewhere where Coldplay isn't mentioned every 5 minutes :wacky:

I don't even regard this as a Coldplay message board.

.

High fives Bradcock.

I don't think anybody has ever suggested Coldplaying is only for Coldplay fans, therefore the poll is meaningless. I also voted "no".:dozey:

What has been said is that non-Coldplay fans should respect the fact that the majority of posters on the bard are going to be Coldplay fans, and should therefore take that into consideration before unfairly bashing the band, that's all.

Seems like common sense to me.

Mark, explain the situation to me. I have no idea what has happened and you appear impartial.

you're so contradicting yourself again:

I meant the fangirls, not Coldplay. You can slag off Coldplay all you like. I couldn't give a monkey's.
