Night 1 doesn't have too much appeal to me, but Night 2 is undeniably sexy. So sexy that I can't watch the webcast because I'll actually be there. :D

Note that there's an inconsistency with Florence's time slot, who is slated as 3rd in the show program but listed as 5th on the online schedule. We also have rumors of a surprise guest appearing on Night 2, not only given how past years have had special guests, but because Night 2's schedule isn't as long as Night 1's.

I'll take some pics for y'all. :)

^ That's cool that you're going.

Night 1 is a little weak. I would recommend watching the sets of Jimmy Eat World and Social Distortion. Music and radio festivals aren't just a way to watch bands you know you like; it's a way to get a flavor for different types of music. I'd also recommend Smashing Pumpkins, but no one knows what you'll get out of Billy Corgan.

I guess you can also watch the webcast from your iPhone. Isn't technology awesome? I would be so happy if I could get more live webcasts. It's cool to watch music DVDs, but it's even better to have the feeling that you are watching it as it occurs in real time.

^ Yeah, I've enjoyed it a lot. Social Distortion are one of the best live bands out there and have been for years. They are a combination of Johnny Cash, Rolling Stones and the Clash. You just don't see punk/hard rock mixed with rockabilly. Mike Ness sounds like he's eaten a bucket of nails with his gravely voice. It fits their music so perfectly. They are legends.

Still waiting on Smashing Pumpkins.

They're past their prime, but the Smashing Pumpkins have enough classics to last them until the end of their careers. :)

Gonna leave in a couple hours to meet up with a few friends and hang out before the show. They sell merch from every band there, so I'm hoping the wad of cash I withdrew yesterday will be enough. Gonna be fun!

^ yeah, no doubt about Smashing Pumpkins. I was afraid Billy would do a bunch of rarities and be a downer the entire night.

The Fellowship

Today

Drown

Freak

Bullet With Butterfly Wings

Tarantula

Landslide (Fleetwood Mac cover)

Tonight, Tonight

Stand Inside Your Love

Eye

Heavy Metal Machine

I mean, 7 of the 10 songs are on their Greatest Hits album, Rotten Apples (which everyone should own because it's an awesome collection of songs). I don't think you could really hope for more in a radio festival environment.

Have fun tonight. I'll be watching on the webcast again. Last night came in crystal clear.

I'll try to tune in again but I doubt it will work.
