Don't hate me if there's already a thread about this but I was wondering, after listening to Fix You on my record player this morning & watching clips of Gwyneth talk about the loss of her dad, is Fix You about Gwyneth?

Is the song talking about Chris' efforts to be by Gwyneth's side & help her, when she lost her father? the dates seem to add up...

I believe the song is not really about, but kinda FOR Gwyneth, to cheer her up at that hard time of her life. But I'm not entirely sure :)

Oh that's a good question, but I don't know the answear maybe it is Fix You goes with Gwyneth situation in that moment :( and maybe Chris try to cheer her with the song :)

but the whole album of X&Y was dedicated to bruce paltrow (amongst others) and im almost positive ive heard chris say that song was specifically written because of his death, (he even wrote it using bruce's organ piano)

On a side note the Fix You video was dedicated to the 52 people who lost their lives in the 7th July bombings in 2005. Hence the quickly panned shots of Kings Cross signs and the such.
