The Oldies Thread

Featured Replies

Are you talking about age, or number of years on the forum?

In case you don't know who you are, calling out Reilly, colduser, mc_squared, Corum, Gas_Man, Darlene_Ihnfsa, Knight of Cydonia, Ceckers, swallowedinamessage, Ren., and many more I'm forgetting :)

Number of years on the forum ;)

I never did like threads like this- all those people are dead now, including me.

*sadface* but I miss them! And you!

Awwz :nice:

But word to the wise, any oldie who makes an oldie thread usually disappears again *Dun dun dun*

I shall not! *insert random historical famous last words here*

Maybe instead of trying to regroup with the oldies, you could try to get to know the newbies.

A lot of the people you mentioned are friends with the rest of us and they contribute to the forum normally without complaining about it no longer being "the good old days" like you've been doing for the past few days (no offense).

There are some names there that I've never even heard of though who probably won't come back any time soon.

My intention definitely wasn't to slag off the forum. And of course, I'll try and make some new friends on here, but I was just curious who was still on here.

By the by, sentences ending in 'no offense' are almost always offensive. Just sayin :P

Wait! *makes new, better thread*

To be fair I didn't really notice her complaining, but I can see how this thread could be lumped in with how oldies typically come back for 2 days and just constantly post about 'back then' and talk mainly about forum members who if they did a slight bit of research would figure that those will never see their words, like the ones mentioned in this thread- no offence

Iz I old yet?

knight of cydonia and ren are the same person just changed the username along the time, just saying.

i'm afreaid you were more active here when i was off so i can't help you.

colduser made a comeback like 2 years ago

ceckers aswell, comes up few times yearly.

swallowedinamessage, i think changed username thought is not too active.

no news about Corum or Gas_Man, though i remember they were musicians or something similar.

i think we associate our old times here with the board, when really the feel tends to be in missing our teenage years, mostly -at least for me-.

people use to be pretty active until they go to uni, then things have to be more quiet because there are other tasks and priorities that need attention, some never come back after that, others yet keep here and see the waves of newbies, some get friends together others stick with mostly the oldies.

i think alot of the oldies have Alzheimer's, and are only jarred back to life by new album releases or new tour dates.:P

Hahahahahaha I know right?

Hold me.
