PC's are made to run windows and MAC's are made run OSX. How many people do you think actually installs OSX on their PC? Not many.

What I guess I'm trying to say here is that it is perfectly fair to associate MAC with OSX and PC with Windows since they're are made to run those operating systems and that most people uses those systems.

I LYKE BOTH

I have a Mac.

They're awesome... once you go Mac you never go back :P

haha true. l think its because of the apps they have that you don't find in the other pc's.

i like macs and they are good for music and all but SO FUCKING EXPENSIVE. I CANT AFFORD THAT SHIT.

Four Tet uses hp laptop to run ableton = i use hp laptop to run ableton

Macs are sexier. :charming:

this.

Although..it frightens me that I'm getting something "sexy" from my PARENTS for GRADUATION.

had a 13 inch macbook pro for a little over a year now and absolutely love it. i still discover new things about it all the time. its trackpad is probably the most awesome thing to ever happen to computers.

I don't mind Windows at all but have personally prefered Macs most of my life, I definatly like OS X more than Windows 7.

Although it has to be said, when is Apple going to go for a complete OS upgrade instead of 10.5,10.6 etc.

the aluminum one? l've seen more MacBook Pros than the aluminum Macbook being owned. I wish I waited longer, so that I could buy the MacBook Pro for half the price.

I actually had a "rare specimen"... It is a 13" aluminium MacBook, but it isn't Pro. Apple made a few of them and quickly added the "Pro" and some cool Pro stuff like FireWire, and they're a bit more powerful. So it's a cool rare one, but I wish I had a more powerful one...

I was asking you because I have that model as well. And I just have the same sentiment as you. *at least we have some cool rare stuff

Oh really? :awesome: We're gonna be both rich :D :D

They both have their ups and downs. i personally like the design of macs and the flow of OSX. I've had over a dozen PCs break down on me, and I've accumulated 4 macs since 2005, and they all still work perfectly, and they've never caused me a single problem, including my macintosh SE that I've had since 1987.

Saying macs aren't cool because hipsters use them sounds more like you're worried that if you use one you'll be called a hipster. Would you stop listening to your favorite band if hipsters started listening to them? Its a scary thought, right? Regardless, I say don't worry about what people might think about you and judge it for what it can/cannot do for you. Not everyone with macs has a mustache and wears a three-wolf-moon shirt and listens to The Black Kids. A lot of hipsters use PCs too, and are very pretentious about it, i might add. I wouldn't dislike macs more if I saw someone with a PBR sticker on their macbook. I would dislike them if they crashed on me though.

One more final thought about hipsters ---------> Look At This Fucking Hipster

In the end its like asking people "Whats better, Vanilla, or Chocoate?" as its practically a religious debate between techies.

Although it has to be said, when is Apple going to go for a complete OS upgrade instead of 10.5,10.6 etc.

not any time soon, as OSX Lion is coming out next

who even are the black kids

people call me a hipster and i have no idea who they are

yeah whf

Hipsters only like music no one's ever heard of, remember? Hahaha.
