I'm fine with it not being in the competition. Based on what I've read from two of the threads, my list is sufficiently different.

I have to say, I'm surprised that 'Videotape' didn't show up on any of the lists

yeah... I was going to vote for it, but only the From the Basement version... but we couldn't use non album/single versions of songs

I consider it to be a pretty amazing song but the whole thing for me is that it just doesn't do anything else to me than just being good. It is possibly the most popular song on In Rainbows, if not the most popular, and while it serves well as a nice, quiet, somewhat tragic closing track, it doesn't even make me feel half of the things that Nude and House of Cards make me feel, specially Nude.

I wouldn't consider it their most popular song off IR. I think that would probably go to Arpeggi

Well, to me it seems it's Videotape tbh. I've seen many more times a comment like "OMG VIDEOTAPE" than Arpeggi.

It is funny how I didn't manage to get interested in Nude the first times I listened to it's very few seconds, and I loved Weird Fishes immediately. Each song has a different effect on me.

The most popular song on In Rainbows (to Radiohead fans) is easily Reckoner. Then Weird Fishes / Arpeggi and Nude. Videotape, Jigsaw Falling Into Place and All I Need generally come up after those three.

Voted ! What's the next step?

^^I agree that the most popular IR song is easily Reckoner.

Well voting ends tomorrow, and the most voted choice in each thread will move onto the next round. If there's a tie for most votes then both choices will continue on. After the next round of voting we see which list is the most popular on the forum.

Also if while you're waiting you can make your own top 15 list. Of course it won't count as being part of the competition, but I'm sure a lot of people would want to see peoples choices (including myself)

When does round two voting end? I'm away 'til Monday.

voting lasts a week. so next thursday the 2nd round would end

ok. No offence but I think it would have been better to only have one poll with all the lists, then the 3 lists that would have had the most votes would have make it to the second round. Because with this system of have 3 polls, you have to vote for one out of those 3 (or 4) lists whereas your two favourite lists could have happened to be on the same poll, or you could happen not to like any of the lists in one poll too much and actually love 2 or 3 lists that are on the same poll. I'm not sure I'm being clear here :\

Maybe I'll try to come up with my own top 15 tonight then. :)

I see what you mean. I guess from a organizational stand point me and greg decided to split it into 3 parts just because posting all of the lists onto one thread might get a bit confusing to distinguish between each of the lists especially since there were I think 10 in total. But for the most part in the future (with perhaps the exception of Arcade Fire), it's all going to be in one thread.

Yeah I figured that would be the reason and it's totally understandable, even though this system is probably distorting the results a bit.

BUMP.

I have a question. The Radiohead playlist competition is about to be over. What's the next step that we take from that? Like, which band do we go to, who's organizing it, etc?

OK, that's fine. :nice:

Anyone wanna make any nominations for head of Arcade Fire?

Not me. I'm doing Beck.

Looking forward to making my list though.

Whoever volunteers can have any assistance they want from me and 'seasoned Top 15 list thread maker' Mike.

I'm not sure if he would, but I think Briggins should do it.

yeah... well we'll see who wants to.

I also think that for Arcade Fire we make it a Top 10 song playlist, just because they don't have a very vast catalog of songs, and it might be too easy to confuse one list from the next.
