Two more singles before LP5 drops?

Featured Replies

I dont think so.. the albums hasnt been named yet... so. even the tracklist.... no video also for ETIAW no promo so basically im not sure if theres an official 1st single yet

They said on Twitter that they are filming a video for ETIAW though

Shooting an epic video for every teardrop PH http://t.co/yaMdxum

Hope it's true..the more new Coldplay songs I get to hear before October the better :D Guaranteed 1 of the singles will be Charlie Brown

I've noticed that there are a lot of songs out there that ripped the intro from Clocks, they have the same chord progression or something very, very similar to it :shifty:

I agree, however, without wanting to cause any arguments, have you listened to Kylie's "Too Far" from 1998? :laugh3:

I half want Charlie Brown to be a single so more people might be able to experience it's absolute genius, and half want it to remain more of an only-on-the-album, less exposed song. :P

i dont get charlie brown yet,, i love major minus ,,,,,,, ill just wait for the studio version or charlie and we'll see

I'm kinda starting to think that also. I liked Viva (the song) until it went global and everyone started going crazy over it. It was the one Coldplay song my friends actually listened to, so I was hearing it a lot. Eventually, I just got tired of it and it dropped down on my list of favorites :P

But, based on the live-crowd reaction to Charlie Brown, I think we have another Yellow on our hands.

Exactly. I still enjoy Viva and Yellow a lot, and they're brilliant live, but most of my favorites are B-sides or just the lesser-known album tracks. Charlie Brown I think is a better example than Viva or Teardrop of the band's general style, so it would be good to give it more exposure, but I wouldn't want it too popular, either. You want more people to know, yet you don't want it to be too mainstream. It's a very hipster paradox. :P

Charlie Brown is vintage Coldplay. And Coldplay at their very best. Seems deemed to be a setlist classic.

I guess MM and MTM are the 2 other songs before LP5. Mystery solved!??
