Actually, Viva La Vida was released the same exact day (June 12, 2008) as it's corresponding album :P

It wasn't http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viva_la_Vida lol.

I think it was released on the 12th of June in the UK. Second singles are normally released the day the album comes out in the UK and EVEN sometimes the first single is released the day that the album is out :)

Worldwide the song was released the 25th of May . I think that in the US even sooner that that

http://www.billboard.com/#/charts/hot-100?chartDate=2008-06-07 . It was in the top ten on Billboard charts by june 7 and it had already 3 weeks on the chart :P

Well , Cp.com must have their information for the UK. It was released in the UK the day the album came out .. But worldwide it was released weeks before. An Itunes commercial for it even aired the first week of May

I personally think that they are doing what they did with Viva La Vida, but backwards. With VLV, they gave us the Album in June, then Prospekt's March EP came out in November. So with LP5, I think they are giving us a small EP first (June), and then the album will come out in October. I hope I am wrong and I hope it comes out sooner.

I love Moving to Mars so much... I really hope it makes the album. In fact, I hope the entire LP5 era is defined by Moving to Mars!!! :wink3:

I do wish that too, but it isn't a really important song so I guess it isn't like that, at least if we compare the lyrics (if we had them!!!!!! I want LP5 NOW!!!!!!!)

But I do believe there will be some musics that might have a similar Moving To Mars style.

But we can allways dream and hope!!!

ETIAW is a one-off EP I reckon. An appetizer for the album, if you will. I don't think any songs from it will appear on the album. It's just been released to signal the start of this era. That's what I believe anyway. Whether any of the other tracks that have been performed live so far will make it to LP5 - who knows?

The album may still be called Major Minus, but not have a title track. A few albums are known to be named after a b-side or unreleased track from the era. Like Muse's Origin of Symmetry, Foo Fighters' The Colour and the Shape, there are a few others as well but I can't really think of anymore right now...

bet you I'm right

My theory is Princess of China is most likely going to be on the album considering it was only played at the first two shows with one being a private, and we never heard from it again. Maybe because of the positive reaction it may have gotten, hinting to them to probably include it in the list of possibilities for LP5. And to be honest, the low quality video on youtube already made me love it, I mean the beat itself was ridiculous. Also, I am not really sure, but are the songs in the site below still song names, or have they all been trashed for when they restarted the album. Or maybe they never restarted anything and my facts or just really off =S =P. Here's the site http://www.wikicoldplay.com/index.php/LP5 Everyone most likely already knows it =P

I have no idea what will or will not be on #5. However, I hope that none of the E.P. tracks appear. I think it's pretty inconsiderate to expect fans to keep buying the same songs. With that said, I don't know who ultimately controls the releases -- the band or EMI.
