June 29, 201114 yr The distorted noises at the end really say "merge into beginning of first track ala Pink Floyd's The Wall", at least to me. They did something similar with the synths at the beginning of LiT and the end of The Escapist on VLVODAAHF. Odds are it'll remain an EP release, but I think it would work pretty well on the album. Thoughts?
June 29, 201114 yr I'm not saying anything about the quality of ETIAW, but I'd prefer something of its style to close the album on a happy note. MTM feels like a very predictable closer.
July 12, 201114 yr I doubt Moving To Mars will actually be on the record. I really don't believe they would release three LP feature songs on one EP. It could happen, but I really - really - doubt it.
July 12, 201114 yr Yeah I don't think it'll end up on the LP (I can bare it though). If it did I'd be just fine with it being a closer.

It could happen, but I really - really - doubt it. My thoughts also, although I could definitely see a similar song as a closer--just look at LifL, Amsterdam, Til Kingdom Come, and DaaHF / The Escapist. They were all fairly quiet, gentle songs.
July 12, 201114 yr I don't actually think that one of the EP songs will be on the album, if I could chose one, I would bet for Major Minus. Plus, I guess MTM is not a so-good album closer. I am not saying I don't like the song, but I think the album's level is much bigger than MTM, and I also think this is one of the songs that Phil said Chris was "still writing"...
July 12, 201114 yr I hope they close the Album with an amazing Instrumental like The Escapist (I know it had some Lyrics but still)
July 12, 201114 yr Really I strongly believe in a more happier closer than The Escapist, Amsterdam etc. :)

Yeah, I would feel like it would be a little too predictable, plus it looks like they're trying to change up their tactics and style, so they may use ETIAW. While I love MTM, I hope it stays in the EP.
July 24, 201114 yr I also don´t think that it will end up being on the record. Chris said at the itunes concert that this might stay an exclusive hearing of the song.
July 24, 201114 yr I can't see any of the songs that made it to the last EP on the forthcoming LP. That'd be just taking up place and something of a fraud to me.
August 12, 201114 yr It's not gonna be on MX but I don't mind because I already have it and played it like 300 times. MTM will now enter the league of Underrated Masterpieces by Coldplay (See you soon, how you see the world, Life is for Living, Proof , Animals etc...) A great group if you ask me.
August 13, 201114 yr They pretty much came right out and said that it's not going to be on the new album, which is tragic, because I think it's easily the strongest song on the EP, while Major Minus isn't nearly as dark or sinister (or good) as Chris thinks it is.
August 14, 201114 yr I love the song but I think he's not so suitable to the album .... If Coldplay did not love him? I love him more than ETIAW and more than MM and even more than UATW but I do not think he would fit the album just B Side :\
August 14, 201114 yr I trust them to pick the right songs for the album, but I love MTM and it would be a real shame if there's only going to be a digital version. I wanna hold it... :wacky:
August 27, 201114 yr I really hope for MTM to be on the LP,even if it's just a bonus track. It keeps me hoping for more new piano guided songs....
