I'm sorry, but judging people by music taste is like judging them by their sexual preference. It's pointless and only people with small brains do it.

Everyone should be allowed to defend their bands as they see fit, or to speak their minds on bands that they don't like (with valid support, of course, saying another band "sucks" is pretty baseless, petty, childish shit, eh?). great post Danielle. as i said many times...i reviewed Muse's album, because i listened to it. i did nothing wrong. even if some fans find Muse's music similar to Radiohead's it doesn't mean that someone should call them wankers. i shared my opinion and i'd be very glad to discuss and argue it. face to face arguments would be very interesting. for example Ren's points were great and i alreadt started to believe that Muse have their own style. thanks to Ren's posts i d/loaded that leak once again and gave a try to the album, after my 2nd listening to it i liked it more, but still it didn't sound like something legendary good. Nigel obviously didn't want to argue and was fed up with my review so he called us members at atease, MT arrogant wankers...and i thought i could argue about Muse, but no some people overreact everything what is related with their bands...unfortunately. if i knew it would turn in this way, i'd better keep my review and never share it. though i still don't think i made something terrible

it's a free world so go and write a Green Day review. I WASN'T BIASED!!! i'd be biased if i wouldn't listen to the whole album and from the beginning would call it "piece of shit". and did i? no. i said it's not awful, either good. i gave it a listen because i was curious how will they sound like, especially after all your reviews "how the live versions brilliant are!". i just listened to it and after the 1st listening rated it.

 

as far as i see only some single persons can go into the debates here, bring some valid points and defend a band which they like

i was just wondering, because we all know that you are a huge radiohead fan, and have never liked muse. i know you listened to the whole thing, but do you get what i'm trying to say? i dont know it probably won't come across the way i intended it to.

But Bon, that can also work in the opposite way, I'm sure if say you rated it you would give it a 9 or 10 out of 10 because you are instantly biased towards the fact that you adore them.
