June 14, 200620 yr :laugh4: weird yea same here exactly...just want to get it to complete the collection.besides stop whispering isnt a bad song...creep is ok...just a bit whiney  ooo thanks for the new links! can i ask again is that observer magazine thingy a separate magazine...or does it come with a newspaper? and is it sold in the uk? Blow Out is far my favourite on PH i don't even listen to the rest lol, Creep is a good song but a bit overplayed and very overrated by non-Radiohead fans. i'm sure it will be available in the UK, but have no idea about the rest though you can check this site http://observer.guardian.co.uk/omm
June 14, 200620 yr oo thanks i shall look! i have never heard of blow out! yea i mean because creep was so popular and so many people know it...i think they just wrote other stuff from radiohead off...i mean its not exactly 'classic' radiohead is it? although i dont mind it
June 14, 200620 yr well...i would say Creep is classic and actually it was the onliest song which "saved" Pablo Honey. thanks to Creep Radiohead became famous in the US very quickly, some radio stations named Pablo Honey as "the best album of the year". it was strange actually, in the UK Pablo wasn't really popular but it was a hit at the other side of Pacific :/ hmmm. however, Creep is classic, but the fans and Radiohead (especially Thom) dislike it. Blow Out sounds more like a "The Bends song", really different from the rest of Pablo. wait, i'll upload it for you ;) edit: http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=156B94FD4B3C1C0F
June 14, 200620 yr i heard that before that the band dont like it anymore...do you think that is because it was so popular or what? obviously thy liked it at time of writing it and recording.i suppose its classic then in the sense it has been the most popular radiohead song to date.. thankyou very much :)....
June 14, 200620 yr no, they changed since Pablo Honey and they don't play stuff like that anymore. Pablo is really different from the rest of their releases. i think they just grew up, found what they want to sound like. they simply dislike Pablo, and 99% of fans think Pablo is the worst RH album, that 1% who pick Pablo as the best RH work are filler fans lol.
June 14, 200620 yr :stunned: wow...but then again...i really think the bends doesnt sound like any of the other albums...but i suppose dont own pablo...i am guessing pablo sounds kinda bends-like... do they not play pablo songs live anymore then...i just noticed i dont remember any of them
June 14, 200620 yr haha no they don't and i don't think they will ever do it again. though we never know what the future will bring. some songs have chances to be played again: Creep maybe and i hope Blow Out, about the rest i'm pessimistic The Bends is like "the improved version" of Pablo, but i find it sounds different...though songs like Sulk, My Iron Lung or Bones are more "Pablo level songs" = weak. i think The Bends is the border between Radiohead's "On Friday" + Pablo Honey era and the rest of their carrier (Ok Computer - now). on "The Bends" some songs are like contrasts of each other
June 14, 200620 yr yea i guess.i remember speaking to someone who had heard 'on a friday' material and said that it was pretty bad stuff.did they actually release an ep under this band name?
June 14, 200620 yr no, but some tapes do exist. they are like Coldplay's Ode To Deodorant, rare and unreleased. you can get them from e-bay for 1000$ or something like that if they are being sold up of course. the original copy is really rare. demos from 88 and 90 were leaked an year ago or something, so you can get the mp3s of those
June 14, 200620 yr wow...i mean thats just scary just hearing the date; 88.....wow i mean i was born 1 year later than that...its just weird to think...i dont know if you get what i mean but anyway :laugh4: how old are you if you dont mind me asking?
June 14, 200620 yr sure, no probs :) i'm 16 yeah that sounds weird when i think they started their carrier when i wasn't even born lol
June 14, 200620 yr yea same here 16 definately...to me i always think as the start of career as 1993...but obviously not...its just weird to think they formed in the 80's...bizarre! so thom would of been *thinks* about 19 in 88....i still couldnt believe he was 37 when i found out how old he was!!
June 14, 200620 yr actually he isn't that old imo :D i think they still have at least 8-9 years on top. but yeah, the time runs fast
June 14, 200620 yr :stunned:...have i been told a lie...sorry i am rather confused...:laugh4: is he that age?
June 14, 200620 yr no you are right, he'll be 38 in October ;) but i don't think the age counts in music :)
June 14, 200620 yr oooo october....only a month after mine...:smug:..ignore me i am doo lally :laugh4: no of course i agree...it doesnt matter...with people like johnny cash...working right up until he was so ill... i was just surprised...i mean he looks so good for his age..ol thom :wink2:
June 14, 200620 yr the reason: he is vegetarian :laugh2: btw there's an interview with him from Globe and Mail here: http://www.ateaseweb.com/news/archive/2006/06/thom_yorke_inte_3.php thanks to @ease
June 14, 200620 yr :laugh4: at that rate...i want to be a veggy too! na not really....ah bless thom...he is a saint... ooo....yet another link! thanks.by the way...blow out sounds good on first listen....i like the guitar
June 14, 200620 yr ondes martenot, thanks for the mp3 links! ive been stalking ateaseweb too .. waiting for the rest of the show :D
