  • Lol I haven't been here in 5 years but I decided to pop my head back in for some nostalgia. Seems like this was my last post so here's an update... I finally saw Radiohead live in Manchester in 2017 a

Was listening to Harrowdown Hill & Cymbol Rush in the car today...those two tracks really stand out for me particularily, I really like 'em :)

My sister was telling me about how amazing they were at V today, sounded incredible.

I know you've gone already, but I hope you have a wicked time Zore!

oh i see :)

it's not better than radiohead for me, but it's great ! really great lol.

i love and it rained all night, the clock, cymbal rush.

Im sure someones said this before but the beginning of Harrowdown Hill reminds me of the citreon advert! anyone?

hahahaha why?

i love the past where he drops into the sea/lake whatever it is.

of course he is drowning but i still find it rather stunning the way they timed it with the music etc.

I love that bit of the video, it's sorta eerie and haunting, like you said, just stunning....then the "slippery slope" bit, I love that. Great song :nice:

yea love the slippery, slippery slope part :).

yea its haunting! you got the right words haha.

i'm actually listening to an interview with thom at this moment on bbc6radio and he is talking and performing live!

Ah maybe Im just being strange...lol I just thought of the robot music when I heard it for the very first time. lol!

Cant get enough of "Everything in its right place" at the moment!

BBC Radio 6 just played Thom's set on Tom Robinson show!

great interview, great set! :)

1. The Clock

2. Cymbal Rush

Thom also said that his fave track on The Eraser is Cymbal Rush (mine as well) and that the band recorded (videotaped) the Bonnaroo Festival performance...it meeeeeaaans: a DVD!

ooo I saw that on youtube! Man, The Clock was sick...and I think Cymbal Rush was the first time I've actually seen Johnny play the Ondes. :cheesy:

thats the Henry Rollins/KCRW performance. though they have the same setlist, they are different. The Clock which was broadcast today was better and Thom's voice was beatiful (i think he had some problems with it during the US tour, but now it seems great once again). and also Cymbal Rush was acoustic (only with Thom on piano)

the show will be archived and you can listen to it on the BBC Radio 6 website 7 days long from tomorrow. but i'm absolutely sure someone will upload it today/tomorrow on AtEase :)

i love the clock live,as to be my favourite so far of the live ones, its so energetic.

For everyone that's heard the acoustic version of "Creep" off of the My Iron Lung EP... my friend and I are making a music video for it for our broadcasting class at school. Get this:

It starts out in a busy hallway with the camera zooming in on the face of one guy. Everyone else is wearing casual clothes. This guy is wearing a black suit, out of place with everyone else. The camera moves in front of this guy through the whole video as he mouths the words. The thing that will set this video apart is the fact that we will have a second camera going at the same time as the main camera filming negative, bad things going on around him.

The other things going on around him will pop up in 24-esque windows, while we keep the main shot on the main character. Things like drug deals, sexual temptations, people passing him up for a friend bc he's a "creep".

When the part of the song hits where Thom wails "Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnn...", the guy bolts down the hallway, pushes out of the second story door to the corridor, and dives over the railing as it hits the climax. It shows the guy broken up and laying on the hard concrete below as he sings the last verse of the song. As the song finishes, ambulance sirens can be seen and heard approaching in the distance. The end.
