Thinking of amateur fighting as a new hobby

Not sure what's around. I have a friend who did some kind, not sure. Sent him a message to see if he can hook me up. Probably do one fight, get my ass kicked then quite.

Gained 15 lbs in the last year or so, but not sure if there is a weight class for someone who is 130? I know the wrong kind of people, could always do it unofficially..i'd probably die though.

My hubby used to do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for fun. He really enjoyed that. Maybe you could check that out.

Did you just say you weight 130lbs???!!

I weight 131 :(

Yes, I was down to 115 a year or so ago. I'm small.:(

I'm sure you're taller than me though...i'm 5'5''

I'm actually smaller than you. My height is 5'2 1/2 ft :( I was 123lbs but I gained weight. It goes up & down a lot.

I was 115 when I was like 15

^Wow now I feel fat. :disappointed:

Amateur fighting is really good exercise though.

Yeah but you have to remember that I was shorter then as to what I am now. I was like 4'11 or something :/

Well height/weight doesn't matter so long as you're a happy person. :cheesy:

Sounds just like my husband.

Of course, he claims he's 5'7'' on his Driver's License.

Really though, I think being in extremely competitve wrestling in high school stunted his growth and screwed with his metabolism. He wrestled in an insanely low weight class (103 I think?), ate lettuce and Saltine crackers for dinner, would intentionally sweat off excess water weight, etc.
