I personally dont like the punk trend, but I really dont care enough for me to hold it against someone, its not even a factor in first impressions. I personally think its a phase for teenagers and young adults, mainly because I've never met a middle-aged punk. I dont mind the clothes at all, but the music just sounds generic to me. To me, it lacks versatility: basic distorted power chords, simple octave lead guitar, mediocre singers. I heard a punk mix CD and thought it was the same band. Thats bad. Back in the 80s "punk" was about anarchy and disorder and having no sense of style at all (mohawks, leather jackets, weird combinations of clothes). Now its seem to have lost its meaning. I really dont care if people like it, it just doesnt appeal to me. Anyone feel me?
