______________

There's a drumming noise inside my head

That starts when you're around

I swear that you could hear it

It makes such an all mighty sound

Louder than sirens

Louder than bells

Sweeter than heaven and hotter than hell

what song is this from my guess is either Paradise, Up In Flames, or Don't Let It Break Your Heart. Whichever one it is it HAS to be a single, and I guess it may close the MX Tour each evening, as those lyrics sound awesome.

Jamesfish, where did you find those lyrics?

Guys I seriously am sorry about that, I thought those were Coldplay lyrics, as it sounds like some lyrics they may do, it is Florence and The Machine Drumming Song by the way.

I found it a few posts back, and I also saw it a few days ago, and enquired about it.

When she was just a girl, she expected the world

But it flew away from her reach, so she ran away in her sleep

And dreamed of para-para-paradise

Para-para-paradise

Para-para-paradise

Every time she closed her eyes

When she was just a girl, she expected the world

But it flew away from her reach, and the [bullets catch ___ ______ ______?]

Life goes on, it gets so heavy

The wheel breaks the butterfly

Every tear a waterfall

In the night, the stormy night, she'd close her eyes

In the night, the stormy night, away she'd fly

And dream of para-para-paradise

Para-para-paradise

Para-para-paradise

Oooooooooh oooooooooh

She'd dream of para-para-paradise

Para-para-paradise

Para-para-paradise

Oooooooooh oooooooooh

Lalalalalalalala etc.

So lyin' underneath the stormy skies

She'd say, "Oooooh I know the sun will set tonight."

This could be para-para-paradise

Para-para-paradise

This could be para-para-paradise

Oooooooooh oooooooooh

This could be para-para-paradise

Para-para-paradise

This could be para-para-paradise

Oooooooooh oooooooooh

This could be para-para-paradise

Para-para-paradise

This could be para-para-paradise

Oooooooooh oooooooooh

EDIT: Added in Hartroc's lyrics

"So lying underneath the stormy skies

She'd say oh, I know the sun will set tonight"

i'm hearing "bullets catch between her teeth".......... maybe.

I hear 'And the bullets capture her teeth', but that doesn't seem to make any sense at all :p

Yeah I kept hearing "bullets catch in her teeth" and I almost put it down, but then I thought wait a minute...that can't be right!

Pretty sure this is it (minus the paras, ooohs, and lalalas :lol).

Paradise

When she was just a girl

She expected the world

But it flew away from her reach

So she ran away in her sleep

And dreamed of paradise

Every time she closed her eyes

When she was just a girl

She expected the world

But it flew away from her reach

And the bullets catch in her teeth

Life goes on, it gets so heavy

The wheel breaks the butterfly

Every tear a waterfall

In the night, the stormy night, she closed her eyes

In the night, the stormy night, away she’d fly

And dream of paradise

She dreamed of paradise

So lying underneath the stormy skies

She’d say oh, I know the sun will set tonight

This could be paradise

This could be paradise

This could be paradise

ALso, sounds like 'The sun will set to rise'

Just sayin'

I think it's "she'd close her eyes" versus "she closed her eyes" (nitpicky, I know), but other than that it looks spot on to me.

Edit: "the sun will set to rise" sounds about right as well...you can definitely hear the "s" in "rise" at the end.

Yes. it's DEFINITLEY 'sun will set to rise'

Listen again, :)

These lyrics fucking suck. There. I said it. They are shit.

Bullets catching her teeth? Is this a saying I am not aware of? :O

Yes. it's DEFINITLEY 'sun will set to rise'

Listen again, :)

Could it be 'sun is set to rise' ? that was my first thought, and it also makes more sense to me.

  • Author

I think it´s sun will set to rise, but either way it´s a great metaphor :)

It sounds as if he's gonna say "to n-" but then a "ise" appears.
