The Champion
I have absolutely no idea what you're getting at.
86Timewarp
I'm trying to learn the Ending starting at 4:24 in the video. I have the basic progression, so I was hoping someone with a good ear and music knowledge can help [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LCPDUfxDJ2w&feature=related]Coldplay - The Scientist (Lollapalooza 2011) HD - YouTube[/ame]
The Champion
? I'm a little confused. He plays what usual... F chord, Bb chord. + he plays some single notes but it's still the same chord: *F chord - > A -> C -> F *Bb chord -> Bb -> D -> F And ends with F chord. Nothing really complicated, then he just plays the chorus and plays the exact same thing for the second ending.
Cleggy
I have no idea what you're talking about when you say 'basic progression'. The chords for the song are: - Into and Verses: Dm7, Bb, F, Fsus2 - Chorus: Bb, F, Fsus2 then C, C7 before it goes back to the chorus. From what I can tell in the live version ending that you posted he just sort of plays around with the chords for the chorus. There's no definite way to play it. The Champion
^ I agree with you. It's like I wrote, just main chords used throughout the song and I pointed which notes (or inversions is the better word) he plays.
86Timewarp
:dozey: I meant the progression for the ending, not the song itself Ok I wanted to learn the ending at 5:06.
The Champion
I already posted that.

The Champion
F chord, Bb chord. + he plays some single notes but it's still the same chord: *F chord - > A -> C -> F *Bb chord -> Bb -> D -> F And ends with F chord. Nothing really complicated, then he just plays the chorus and plays the exact same thing for the second ending. That.

The Champion
Yes, but anyway. I posted that and it's correct. Just listen to this very ending and you'll hear that it's F chord and bb chord like in the main progression, and the single notes are just the notes form the chord but a little inverted (in the F chord, yes). 42Mooosehead
nah i think he means the 3 chords on the final note. lets go back to the start when he sings "start" he uses 3 final chords (very fast progresseion)
The Champion
LOL. I DON'T WANT TO BE RUDE OR SOMETHING BUT HOW MANY MORE TIMES I HAVE TO WRITE THAT IT'S F CHORD BB CHORD AND F CHORD AS THE FINAL (THE THIRD) AND BETWEEN THE CHORDS HE PLAYS THE NOTES FROM THE CHORD.
