I'm considering purchasing the pup-up edition. It's £50 which isn't cheap I know. Can anyone tell me if it's completely worth it and you're really getting what you pay for. I do have a record player (well, mum does) so I can play the vinyl... And would not opening the pop-up edition get some money in a few years for a completely mint collection?

I bought one. I should say that I was expecting more, before they released the official video about it. I thought I would get a little notebook with a very cool artwork, a reproduction of their own diary and it didn't happen, the diary is shown inside the pop-up itself, it's not a separate piece. Also, I thought we would get the album and the vinyl separately, in proper boxes, not only the cd and the vinyl itself. Anyway, when I got home and saw it I got very, very, very excited, despite all that I've imagined. I think it's very cool, if you have it you sure won't be disappointed.

Hmmm, I have no idea actually. But I've checked amazong right now and they have some new ones for something around 84 dollars, what could be better depending on the currency value of the day. And some people are selling used ones as well for 71 dollars, what shouldn't be that bad since the pop up came out only one month ago.

Keeping it unwrapped on your shelves won't get you more money in a couple of years time, that only helps with really rare releases, and since this is one still for sale, even after thousands of people have purchased it, I don't think it's that limited.

 

It is a good buy though, but to be really worth the money, I suggest buying it for a couple punds less than it is now. Even though I have no idea where you'd be able to find it at that price. My guess is that the next couple of months, people will get tired of it and throw it on eBay.

 

So if you're not in a hurry and are not looking to 'collect' it, my tip would be to wait a bit longer. If you do however see it as an investment: not worth it.

Theese were exactly my thoughts, especially about not getting the vinyle and cd in regular cases (you'd think what it's all about would be more extravagant with a special edition, but no).

I'm happy with the package anyway (even though the corners are busted. :disappointed:) and it helped me make my MX Christmas heart (you see in my avi).

So there are no separate boxes for the vinyl and the cd? That's kinda crappy.

Well, I did expect more, but still, it's a great thing and I'm not disappointed either. Cause you can read Chris' notebook, too and I think it's quite interesting :)

To be honest, I would not get it (yet), at least not for this price. It's nice, but not worth the money IMO.

And I'm a little bummed it's available to buy everywhere now.

If I had to chose again I would go for the tour book thiny and just the vinyl (but then I wouldn't have had those cool alphabet things.. nor the stickers!)

May have found one to buy for a cheaper price new :) just have to wait. If I get it cheaper then I'll be happy but not paying £50 for it. Can't wait to play the vinyl on the record player... hmmmm only a few days now
