We just got a shipment of the special edition Oxfam/Coldplay volunteer t-shirts in, and they look amazing. We can't wait to see them on our volunteers! April 20, 201214 yr My sister and I both signed up to volunteer to help at one of the LA shows; she was chosen and I was not. :'( And I'm really into volunteering too, more than her....I guess cause I'm 17. :P
May 4, 201214 yr I applied for the Miami show, and I would really, really love the opportunity, because ever since I learned about it in my AP Human Geography class, I've always wanted to be involved with Oxfam, but I'm afraid I might not be chosen since I am just 16 :(
May 5, 201214 yr Author Hey Coldplayers- A quick note of thanks to all of you who volunteered with Oxfam America at the shows on the just-ended first US leg of the Mylo Xyloto tour! And apologies to those of you who applied but were not selected. Thankfully for us we had lots of applicants for these shows, so unfortunately we couldn't choose everyone. And thanks to all the Coldplay fans who signed up at the shows with Oxfam's GROW Campaign to fix the broken food system. Together, we're making a difference! Our volunteers had a ball on the first bunch of dates, and at last night's show at the Hollywood Bowl, Chris Martin came out before the show to greet our volunteers personally. June 11, 201214 yr Hi Bob, I applied for the 8-July show in Washington, DC a month or so ago, but unlike a few of the Coldplayers above, I didn't receive a confirmation email saying I'd hear back within a few weeks of the show, etc. Although my network acts rather spotty at times, I'm fairly certain my submission went through because I DID receive a confirmation for a future transaction made shortly thereafter. I'd love help out if Oxfam still needs volunteers, but the last thing I want to do is flood the inbox of the person who receives the online applications with duplicates. Any advice? July 13, 201214 yr Just got an email from Oxfam: So many amazing Oxfam supporters offered to help and we don’t have enough spots for everybody. You are currently on the back-up list for the concert you signed-up for and may be contacted by your city’s Team Leader if more volunteers are needed. In the mean time please take a look at our volunteer training video and the attached PDF, that way you’ll have a better idea of Oxfam and GROW if you’re team leader gives you a call. :disappointed:
