^^great! we're waiting for your good news!

full disclosure: we are working on getting the full thing released. discussed it last few days and even this morning.

i KNOW its basically Coldplay the movie ft Ash. As coldplay are essentially the main characters so we are trying.

I promise you I am trying!

Just keep reminding me and give encouragement :P

Fantastic! Whatever encouragement you need, just let us know. Can we send you a cake (!)? Hand-knit you a sweater? Take you to an amusement park? You name it, we'll work it out! (Thanks a lot for trying to make this happen, we DO appreciate it!! Keep up the good work!!;) ) :D

Jed, you are a super cool person!

I was there yesterday and I can confirm the following:

1. Chris Martin is fantastic in his role

2. Jed is a fantasic bloke and deserves huge success with this (although the story behind the film might be better than the final film - not because of lack of talent but if you knew how this film was made you would understand)

3. It should be finished and released just for the cast list alone!

4. Those that were there know the twist - but must not tell

5. Chris Martin talks of a sequel!

hoorah - and the #ash20 gig was amazing

Hey Jed,

Loved the event, and the Slashed segment was hilarious...

Question... you said it was okay to video... and I video'd the Coldplay bits in full, and some of the other parts... but reading this, I'm getting the impression you wouldn't want this shared? Please let me know, as I uploaded clips to YouTube (took over 24 hours over hotel wi-fi!) and just went to point links from this topic, and now I'm getting the impression you don't want on the net. So they are not public, and will remain that way if you wish - please just let me know either way.

Thanks again,

Jason

P.S. I think you should make a "Making of Slashed" with contemporary "real" footage intercut with the clips... it would be funny/fascinating, and "what might have been" might make for a better film anyway! ;) It would also be cheaper.

I really really want to see this, thanks Jed and anyone that filmed it the other night at the gig I wish I could have gone to.

Make the link private and share it to people on this thread perhaps?

I can assure you we are in talks right now to do some pretty big things with it (at last) so the screening was the best thing we could have done otherwise or wouldn't have happened.

Karen and I's company Piper/Shepherd are not just doing epic music events but films too.... And you know the kind of films I do....

So..... Like someone once said.... "see you in the sequel"

Also, the whole screening, mark and I'd narration and #ASH20 in general was filmed using RED epic cameras (IMAX quality) for a documentary. We also have that footage which may get released as a DVD or freebie with next album.

I know people are dying to see the Coldplay stuff but what you saw at the screening is 10% of it!

Thanks,

Jed

It was all good - off the cuff worked well and the background story (about the demands being made of you on the writing front) was very interesting. I realy seemed like a film being made out of opportunities.

I did enjoy the Dave Grohl, James Nesbitt scene - and Mobys punchline was a winner!

If it does get further forward its the kind of thing I would like to read about in Empire as I think they do the story behind the film very well - in fact I think the story you gave on sunday would already make for an interesting feature.

hoorahs all round
