June 7, 201214 yr Author I do the same thing, but I'm 18... :laugh3: I probably know every little note to that Glastonbury set! Me too! I saw Coldplay's MX concert in Portland and it was life changing. I feel that the Glastonbury concert on TV is the closest I can get to seeing them live again :(
June 7, 201214 yr Author My kids all love Coldplay. My 16 year old son sang The Scientist as a solo at his high school choir concert last week. I thought he did a great job, and I'd like to share the youtube link, but I'm almost hesitant because I know there are some harsh critics out there when it comes to covers. :stunned: Your son is darling, btw. That is so cool! I'm sure everyone here would love to see the video and have nothing but great things to say about his performance :)
June 7, 201214 yr Author What a dollbaby! I see you have done very well in raising your son with the right priorities in life so far. Keep up the good work. :D I love his "Chris Martin" guitar work at 1:36! Soooo cute! Thank you very much for your kind words :)
June 7, 201214 yr Author My kids are 5 and 3. They are both in love with side two of "Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends." We always sing "VLV", "Violet Hill" and "Strawberry Swing." Lately they have enjoyed "Paradise" and "ETIAW." Funny to hear them sing these songs out loud along with their usual nursery rhymes, Church songs, etc! You're right, it is funny when younger kids sing along with Coldplay, especially when they sing to their older songs like, "Shiver" and "Clocks" :)
June 7, 201214 yr Here's my 16 year old son's version of The Scientist. He didn't feel like he could hit the falsetto notes at the end, so his director rearranged the ending so he wasn't awkwardly standing up there. And a little backstory. Matt has been singing in his school choir since he was 11, but has never had a solo - too shy. This was huge for him to audition for a solo for high school's annual Pops Concert. There were about 350 people in the audience, and he was so nervous. So if you leave a comment, please be kind :) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zlgKH48kwc]The Scientist - YouTube[/ame]

June 7, 201214 yr Hey salichristina, I put together a playlist of youtube videos which are mostly from the Portland show. It follows the set list and includes the entire concert. I couldn't get good versions of every song so I had to supplement a bit with stuff from San Jose, Seattle and Edmonton. Even though it's not the same sound and image quality as Glastonbury it's still fun to watch if you want to relive that awesome night. Here's a link if you'd like to check it out. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLF258FA34BB852DD2 No, that's not me in The Scientist. :P That was just the best version of the song I could find at the time.
June 7, 201214 yr Can I join in and share some short clips from the show we recently attended? This was my 7 year son's first concert. He was waiting all night to sing along to Paradise. http://youtu.be/Q2BBuEg1oDQ http://youtu.be/yTpI8EpJajU http://youtu.be/G5Vda6VrEKU p.s. the date of the show was actually 4/24, oops! Your son is very cute! :) Here's my 16 year old son's version of The Scientist. He is good! I like his voice, quite unique. Thanks for sharing the video! Here are couple of pictures of my little Coldplayers (I've posted them in another thread before): At the Hollywood Bowl May 4th: Her little Coldplayer shirt: Right before Coldplay came on stage: My younger one singing In My Place at home:
